Unbelievable sound and depth of chordal transitions.A real piano titan indeed and the way he make drama out of simple chord contrasts is really phenomenal, all that focus comes from a live performance is a miracle-in its-own.I'm speechless and melted in such sonority ...
Really extraordinary. I love most of his performances. But may I ask your opinion or knowledge about a detail in the second movement? (No pedantic intention!) What can be the meaning of those tied grace notes between bars 1-2, 3-4, etc? I don't find anybody doing "anything special" about them! Are they just a kind of agogic signs, or could they even mean a tiny delay of the left hand? Thanks in advance! Miguel Ituarte.
9:57 never heard such graceful moment of music. And this is my favorite interpretation... by far !
Scriabin claimed himself most graceful composer and demiurg. That's why it is. Claim and work, that's it.
I would recomend you to listen this th-cam.com/video/JRD78IG4VN8/w-d-xo.html

Graceful - and honest as ever! Gilels is, by far, the best Skriabin interpretor, I know!
Gilels has always held a special place in my mind. I bought his LP's in the 1960's and I still have, and play them, today.
Thank you maestro!

Listen to Glenn Gould’s recording. He plays the grace notes. I think he’s the only one who does this.
Thank you very much, Charles!
