Ive been heroic progging on her for for 3 raidnights now as disc priest with a 16man guild-raid, and i've been so lost on when to ramp and how to ramp. it's absolutely information overload. Thank you for this video, this is really helping me understanding when i am supposed to ramp in this chaotic fight.
Thank you so much for the reupload. My guild started progression on this last night. Was kind of rough (not for me too much). Sadly I don’t get to have the spatial paradox, they are giving it to our Rdruid for a tranq cast. It’s ok though, so far I’ve been able to get most ramps off. I’m getting a freedom for every single root which is nice. I’ve seen a lot of talk about how disc isn’t good in this raid mainly due to the movement. Imo it just takes a little getting used to the dance of each fight. Sometimes a little rng. I’ve heard if you dont have a preservation evoker in your comp then disc is super good (my guild doesn’t have prevoker). I think I disagree with the disc priest being bad opinion. On all of the heroic fights I perform extremely well relative to the other healers. Especially as the raid size gets smaller and closer to 20m. Am I crazy for thinking that a good disc priest player is extremely valuable? Or am I delusional just because I love the class? I’m having so much fun this expansion. So glad I found you. No worries about the long message. Disc is super good right now, especially in heroic imo, but in mythic, some fights really filter out disc priests. Rasha'nan moves far more often on mythic, and disc simply can't contend with the required mobility. Also Ky'veza / silken court is looking very very bad for us in terms of the constant movement. I would love to review peoples vods or logs, they can be sent on discord and I can take a look at them, I will even upload videos of me talking over them publicly if people want that
with the healing profile of disc priest I feel like it's not worth it to play during progression, I flex between the 2 to fill the gap that might occur in raid. and I just went holy for the entire raid as it wasn't worth it to gear disc for 1-2 bosses.
In heroic specifically its super good on every boss, and I think it shines very very well on broodtwister and Ky'veza. In mythic, disc definitely isn't doing too hot right now because of the increased mobility requirements on the later bosses.

What raid frames addon do you use? I like that your bars turn blue for attonement applications.
