Nice video Lee. I thought when you fitted the spots that they were too far apart but when you tested them they looked amazing ( awesome). Really enjoying the vids, especially the trip to Victorian dams in Wales. Im a truck driver and I’m camping every day but do like to get out in the caravelle with the Kyan awning, basic but works for us.👍😀
Wow how bright!! Amazing the difference in light output. Not heard of unistrut b4 but looks built to last. Enjoyed the steps you took to complete the task. Look forward to more content. 🐈👍
Bloody brilliance Lee, those spots look proper smart , I wasn't thinking spots for my build, but now I want some 🤣 excellent video, enjoyed that. Was hoping you'd show us how you'd went about connecting that ignition live to the blank cigarette lighter socket, but maybe you'll show us in an up coming video. 🚐...💨
The spots look great. I’ll slip in somewhere the wiring for the ignition live. I’ve got 2 usb sockets to fit in those dash holes anyway so need to take it out again.
@@SpyderLEE That's a clever touch building the light bar from the unistrut, looks cool man👍 I just finish building my unistrut rack & had bolted 400w of solar on there Sunday. Yeah I'd like to wire in a little USB port & keep a 12v socket there too, which is handy to plug in an 12v pump for the front tyres should I need it. Hoping it's possible to also run the ignition live via there also. So this next electrics video will come in handy. When you get that thing built, get it over to Ireland & do the Wild Atlantic Way in it.. you'll love it & the Guinness is great too ☘😁
@@SpyderLEE do it mate.. If doing the Wild Atlantic Way start from Donegal & make your way down the west coast to Kerry & Cork, believe it if not, it's apparently the longest coastal scenic drive in the world, & it's ideal for campers. Give me a shout anytime 👍
Massive thanks Lee for this video! I liked the part with the 'zebedis' (sorry, I'm a tad younger than you AND english is not even my second language :D) That structure should be enough for whatever you have planned for the roof. My van has just 6 boltholes on the roof, might be M8 bolts that fit. So I can either build whatever I need or then get the legs and bars from Thule. But my van is just a van, not a camper. Those Auxbeams look proper good! Have you planned more lights, to light up sides and rear?
Didn’t even think about it doh!.. although checking the spec of these steel ones they are 1.3 kg per 3m length so not that bad for the strength they’ll give.
Hi I used some anti-corrosive matt black spray. Similar to hammorite. Didnt do any prep just degreased and sprayed. I find unless you powder coat most things will eventually come off so made it easier to touch up.
40:21 is such a cool shot!
Thought I’d lose the drone in the dark lol
Wow! Bright AF!! Great lights, Loving the rack too! Top job all around!!
Cheers. Turned out quite good I think.
@@SpyderLEE more than that, you are turning out a class vehicle, just as good as some of the pros!
@@ian_morg thanks.

Thanks. Those lights are super bright. Great for finding camping spots in forests and stuff 😁
Roof lining looks great Lee! 🤣As does the rack & lights.
Thanks ☺️
Coming along nicely 👍 those lights look great
Thanks 👍 I’m impressed with them.

@@bradlock76 I’m definitely intending to get over to Ireland at some point.

Love it looks really good
Thank you! Cheers!
Another cracking video. Well edited and perfect length. You may make this sh1t up, but it's bloody good sh1t.
Thanks ☺️
That looks awesome. 😎
Cheers I think so too 😁
Who knew UniStrut could look so good? Looks like an expensive custom roof rack.
Yeah those trims really help make it not look like unistrut!
Looks really good 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Great build bud, I done exactly the same for my roof rack 👌 lights look mint, need some 🥴
Nice 😊
Was thinking about a unistrut ladder myself 🤔
Thinking of making a ladder from aluminium box section with a built in wheels carrier. Although my tig welding isn’t great so might have to get help.
@SpyderLEE looking forward to the video 👌
Awesome video again Lee...you are one clever dude!...and don't worry, you are like 'Twiggy' Compared to me!..cheers...
Thanks ☺️ don’t feel very twiggy lol

Those Thule legs are quite good 👍
Yeah I am going to fit more lights around the roof rack. On the sides and rear. 😁
Looks great but thought you could buy aluminium unistrut
Yeah someone else said too. I didn’t even consider it 🤷♂️. I checked the spec on the steel ones they aren’t that bad. 1.3kg per 3m length
Surprised you didn't go alluminium profile

That Roof Rack looks awesome, where did you get the Unistrut from?
A mixture of Facebook market second hand and some bits from Cef
only one question. Does it make windy sound when you´re driving? I am building my unistrut roof rack and i am thinking about a front deflector.
To be honest I’ve only drove it once to do this video. The only wind noise I had was on the dual carriageway from the maxfan
Just wondering what paint you used and did you prepare the unistrut first. Thanks

Is yours a medium or a long wheel as I have 5 and it’s a long wheel with bigger arches and side markers
Mines the lwb. Yours sounds like the extra long wheel base if it has 5 each side. And the side markers.
Buying Unistrut from CEF?!
TH-camrs are so vulgar with the way they splash their cash! 😆
lol 😂
