I fought with the new dot mode recently, they made it worse somehow. It was very difficult to target enemies. My marches tended to just march to the enemies location and stop.

Disliking the models for Lost Temple and Alliance Fortress, doesn't have the same vibe as the original. The new building models feels more cartoonish, in my opinion. The Lost Temple had a mystical vibe to it, and the Alliance fortress looked more like a proper fortress than just a tower. I really hope the devs work on it a bit more.
Remember, the reason it's a test server, because subject to change! I can bet you RoK is logging in your comments! That's what they want, to hear your opinion.
Instead of doing useless graphic "upgrades" maybe they should spend some money on higher quality and dedicated servers for kvk. That way when we are forced to pay $1,600-2,200 every kvk to be viable , we can actually enjoy the fights instead of dot mode lag festing.

I get that people might like the simplicity or may be afraid of major changes that could contribute negatively to the gameplay. However, the old graphics are not objectively "better", rather dull and unappealing for the uninvested audience. In order for the game to look more appealing It needs to look more interesting, and thus, detailed.
We need more... For example, battle mode, troops should be different in each Civilization, and Commander COD in marching mode looks good, should ROK have the same?

AoE Mobile has stunning graphics, and the fighting feels more like war than RoK, and it has a bit more PvE content as well. It does DRAIN your battery on mobile more than RoK. But the sole fact that, although slightly buggy, Common Tribes(Barbarians) can be auto battled, is already is a strong reason the RoK should be worried.
I was expecting more, pretty disappointing. Not talking about the art style, the fidelity is mush and many things still rendered 2D and looks like a PNG. Call of Dragons is still superior.

Imagine adding bad weather effects to reduce the marching speed; therefore, the kingdom should use the King's skill, Favorable Weather, to minimize the risk of bad weather before major battles! :D
That does seem really cool though if it were at a reasonable cost. Even if it were season changes. I'd like that. Like snow in the winter time and stuff like that
