I think that rocks , ect , will damage the snowblower before the skis . Guess time will tell . Great idea too btw ! They don't build them tough enough ! Anyway , just my opinion . Love your videos and the details you put into all of your projects ! Thanks for sharing !!!!! 🙏👍😊❤️
You're one of the hardest working Dads/Husband's on TH-cam. I rarely miss a video. You drive me nuts when you work bent over or especially in your knees when you don't have to. Good Video this week. God Blees!
The smiles on all of your faces says it all. You will always remember the great times you spend with your kids. Thanks for the video and all your hard work.
Regarding the "weakest link". Often the pin holding the auger onto the drive shaft is the weak link and it shears. Sometimes, after a few times that happening, a stronger bolt gets installed and then something that is expensive to fix is the new weak link.
Thanks for sharing!! Looks like you're having a very pleasant winter. I like your idea of skis on the front of the snow thrower. It's surprising that they never thought of that commercially. Have a good new year and we'll keep up with you too, thanks for sharing your life!❤❤❤👳♀️❤❤
Your kids are lucky as they can be! When I was a kid, the only one cutting, splitting and stacking the firewood was my brother and I. My Dad would never do the splitting OR the stacking. That was why he had us, he would say. They are very lucky you done't have them doing it daily like my Dad had us doing it. Even when we had 5-6 cords ready (2-4 completely dry and ready to go), we were out there taking care of it.
Can you please do some video of you plowing snow, it would be cool to see the status of your guys Road, whereas years previous haven’t been the greatest
Beautiful place. My daughter and grandson live in Ammon and I love to visit them. Not only do I get to see them but the beauty of Idaho. Great people too, always friendly and welcoming.
I see Idaho was in the TOP TEN places where people are moving too (per U-haul rentals) Red Poppy ranch is likely responsible for more than a few people moving to beautiful Idaho to live a good, clean, healthy Christian life. God bless the Skinner family 🙏🏻 Happy New Year. 😘
And another deal is, if you've got it on the skid steer, when you go up to cut up a bunch of firewood logs, you can just pull it up there with the skin here, cut all the logs up pollen in the trailer and then come back down if you don't want to do it. On it, use the excavator fix it up where you can use it
If it was me, I'd weld me a hitch on the back of the skid steer. That way, I can back up to the trailer, hook it on to the skida, steer and then pull it up the hill with the skid steer
Happy New Year to you Heath, Cedar and your family. You're all so happy and full of fun, life in Britain is so hectic now it gives me pleasure seeing you all having the fun I had during my schooldays in the sixties.
I seen one guy took a piece of pipe. Split it down the middle and then welded it on the bottom. Edge, which makes it roll over the rocks, even the smaller rocks it leaves the rocks and takes the snow
Good job on the snow blower....the company that makes them now has a upgrade option to add to the snow blower with a skid set u bolt on as an option. They should sponsor future snow blowing episodes!!
Great idea for the snow sled, trekking poles..😂 The snowblower gained about 4 years worth of service with those skis. I would've used leaf springs personally, less give, longer use. Love ya'll ❤️
Playing in the snow brings back so many memories and they are all good … a great whole family experience … Always great content … Thanks for bringing us all along … Happy New Year to all @ the ranch & viewers as well!
Where are the beehives going to be located? If you're planning on bees get some vital willow trees and cottonwoods alongside the stream. The early pollen in the spring from the willows is vital for the bees and the bees uses the resin from the cottonwoods to make propolis for the hives. Also, the cottonwoods are the favorite tree for the national bird, bald eagle, nesting habitat.
Wow I have actually been following this channel for almost 10 years? TH-cam are turning into shit because it's been a long time since I got a notification that you posted a video.
You said 5 kids and i was stuck on only 4!! Dangit, i forgot Cheyanne. Sorry bout that! LOL shes been gone so long but how could i have that brain freeze!!
We are in southern Oklahoma and can’t give the wood away. Started clearing the property and have piles of oak and no one wants to cut it and take it away…. Guess I’ll be burning it in the spring
From Cape Breton Island In Mabou Nova Scotia Canada........ Happy New Year to you and your Family .....Have a blessed Day ..May God Bless us ALL ... Jan 5 th 2025 ...................................🇲🇹......🇨🇦
If you was to deem that trailor only to firewood you could also deem a parking spot for it at the house…then after you split it you would only have to handle it once outside
I dont know if it's just me but this feels like a different style/edit of your video. Regardless, I'm all about it. If feels very warm and person to person rather than a one to many conversation.
7:00 noice. now, could you add a backing plate to the front of the sled to bolt the bars to? i just had a flash of them punching through & into the plastic tub due to abrupt deceleration. go ahead, call me fire marshal bill-😏
U could use a unibit from harbor freight they drill several sizes without having to spin your drill. But u already know that 😂. You are to. cool not to. God Bless you all. BE SAFE 😊
You said “weight of the bobcat, too”. Are you not running the snow blower with the boom floating and just tilting to follow the terrain? All the weight that should be a the skis should be the blower, boom and from pushing. To float the boom, if you might not happen to know, there is a lock position in the pedal if you tilt it forward past what would be ‘down’. Sometimes on older machines you’ll need to stomp it to activate and lock (most of the force being forward on your toes). It can be prevented actuating if you have a lot of debris down in the footwell under the toes of the pedals.
Those Fallow Deer though... Deer aren't curious, they are nosey. No sheer bolts on the blower? I've chucked bricks through my John Deer 60" 2 Stage Blower...

it also helps if you can make a vibratory roll the area you plow/clear snow from to push the rocks down in the dirt.

There should be a sheer pin where the impeller is attached to the drive train.

Heath, I love hard work 👍 I could lie down beside it & watch others do it all day 😂😂😂

That’s awesome for Reed and his friends that looks just like how I grew up in Ut in the 80s and 90’s. Congrats on all your success best wishes for 25!
Glad to see the sled I donated some years ago being put to good use.
Wishing you all @ R P R a Healthy & Prosperous 2025 & Good Luck.
PUT THE CHAIR IN THE SLED
Love the philosophy of keeping it simple. Simple is hard. Simple is less.

Mr Heathcock is on his plow as we speak!
are you ever going to finish the board and batten on the backside of the shop?
I love the deer and especially that little buck trying to show off his little set of horns. Tough guy!
Beautiful place. My daughter and grandson live in Ammon and I love to visit them. Not only do I get to see them but the beauty of Idaho. Great people too, always friendly and welcoming.
Weld in little triangular bracing pieces is the snowblower skies.
Love the channel! Got a chuckle out of the chair for people with limited mobility being up a flight of stairs.
You could pull the kids on wooden skis too. My.uncle pulled us on skis with 2 long tow ropes. Tons of fun. Beautiful deer.
I see Idaho was in the TOP TEN places where people are moving too (per U-haul rentals)

Love all that y’all doing and in all seasons it’s beautiful Heath and Cedar. Blessings! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
When I visit, it feels like home, thanks for that
Thanks again for your time making the video watching from Reno NV
If you are worried about the skis twisting you could add stiffeners inside the angle iron. Just a thought from an old iron guy.
Good evening RPR 😊. Hope you all of had a great Christmas and New years
happy new year to you and your family
Happy New Year Heath, Cedar and all the family.
Wow I have actually been following this channel for almost 10 years? TH-cam are turning into shit because it's been a long time since I got a notification that you posted a video.

Remember old Goober ? He said he was about 14 before he discovered his name wasn't "get wood".
Happy New Year to you all
I like the variety of this video.
We are in southern Oklahoma and can’t give the wood away. Started clearing the property and have piles of oak and no one wants to cut it and take it away…. Guess I’ll be burning it in the spring
Happy New Year from Phoenix!
Every man should own a welder.

A "Hi 5" on the condition of your deer herd! They all appear to be sufficiently fat and happy and that takes work! Excellent job! ❤
thanks for the efforts!
Happy New Year and happy Winter from Texas, Where Winter is finally showing its face.
Happy New Year!

Happy new years to you and your family here's to a great year!!
Off the wall comment: how many and what are the names of your dogs/cats? I just can’t remember. They are precious!❤
Happy New Year Red Poppy Ranch
HAPPY NEW YEAR, ENJOY
Finely some body with some brains good job on the snow blower
dogs having a blast!

Thanks for the video.
Are you raising the deer for food
Looks like the weld smoke has a lot of galvanized vapors, not good to breath that stuff
Happy New Year! 🎉 ❤
Happy New Years
Keep warm up there in Idaho. Spent New Years in Arizona Peoria.
Wow, your neighbors property (Busted Wagon Ranch) is looking good....
I dont know if it's just me but this feels like a different style/edit of your video. Regardless, I'm all about it. If feels very warm and person to person rather than a one to many conversation.
What happened to 'Busted Wheel' Ranch opposite you; are they OK, and still your good neighbour's ?
Heath, have you ever considered building a Siberian style rocket stove to keep your home warm 🤔
Happy New Year
Maybe weld some 45s along them to stiffing them up
7:00 noice. now, could you add a backing plate to the front of the sled to bolt the bars to? i just had a flash of them punching through & into the plastic tub due to abrupt deceleration.
go ahead, call me fire marshal bill-😏
one thing about firewood is you know all the work is not wasted - try being cold for a week
I use mine as a bed because of my injuries. I cannot use a bed comfortably
U could use a unibit from harbor freight they drill several sizes without having to spin your drill. But u already know that 😂. You are to. cool not to. God Bless you all. BE SAFE 😊
Heath,
Truly, I ask why you don't build a truck port off the side of the house? Leaving room for access to the front and back side to the house open.
Hiiiiiiii 💖💖💖
Simplicity = dependability all without pesky computers and infernal check engine lights....!
I have one of those also
Speaking of skis, build a ski slope on you property
You said “weight of the bobcat, too”. Are you not running the snow blower with the boom floating and just tilting to follow the terrain? Since moving to Japan almost 6 years ago now, I honestly can't understand why anyone would bring dirty shoes/boots/etc into the house 😢
Those Fallow Deer though... Deer aren't curious, they are nosey. No sheer bolts on the blower? I've chucked bricks through my John Deer 60" 2 Stage Blower...
Dang it, Son! Heath, please get and wear safety eyewear when you grind, power wire brush, use a pressure washer!
BLESSED NEW YEARS.2025❤🙏🙏🙏🏡🇺🇸🀄🙏🙏
