@@JustMyKnife I dunno about football but Schaub was allright in MMA. The dude was a high-tier UFC fighter after all, that´s like top 0.01% of MMA fighters. He couldn´t hang with the top boys but being a ranked UFC heavyweight is no joke of an achievement. Even the smaller organizations are full of fuckin killers man, and UFC is another level entirely.
Dude he got a full ride scholarship to College for Football. Less than 1% of high school athletes play at a college level. He also was signed to an NFL team. Less than 1% of College Football players make the NFL. He also not just made the UFC, but he won fights against some top level competition, he beat fucking Mirko Cro Cop for gods sake. He wasn’t a top 5 talent, but give him some respect. The dude has achieved success in everything he’s done, they’re all wildly different from one another, and they all take a SHIT LOAD of balls to even try. Yes he’s not a Number 1 in the world at anything he’s done, but he’s in the top 1% of multiple different things, which is incredibly impressive
Matt Okray - maybe, maybe not. What is far douchier, is coming to another man's motivational promo (by choice) and talking trash about him. I don't get you people. If you don't like him, watch one of the other billion videos on TH-cam that don't contain Schaub
socalarmy why don't you lick the cheeto dust off your fingers and give this dude a hand. he went from fighting to being on a stage, I think it's impressive
Podcasts really give people an insight into who these people are. I've seen both him & Tait Fletcher on JRE many times. Both are nice & kind people, not just talented at what they do.
he sucks, man... Just because you can fight anymore, doesn't mean you should be a comedian for a living. Do something else if you want to earn your money. He's doing good because of his past and the fact that he teamed up with Callen. he has nothing to do with the comedy and podcast world. No conversational skills, no comedic skills.
Two things that most people would never have the balls to do. Professional fighting, and stand up comedy. He’s done both. Fair play to the guy. No matter how terrible he is.
I would agree with you, except for one thing-Brendan has not done stand up comedy. He has attempted stand up comedy, and while still in the "attempting" stage, has been propelled VASTLY ahead of where he should be, due to his association with Joe. If he were a fighter, not acquainted with a comedy star, and was getting laughs at open mics, I would agree with you totally. I literally do know more than 50 new comics (two years experience or less) who are very much better than he is, and who are not at all ready to even be middle acts. I hope that I don't seem like I'm trying to argue against your point. I am trying to augment it.
I think this video will give a lot of clarification on how Schaub really is to some of those haters. Ive seen his bit with Travis Brown and it was really fucking funny. I cant wait to see the future for this guy!
Yeah but he fought in the UFC and is a funny guy. Also people don’t value the communication skills it takes to have a podcast and do stand up. Even if he’s not always the funniest guy ever he still gets enough laughs to book shows and I’m sure he’s getting better. Have you ever done standup? I suggest trying it. Success is when opportunity meets preparation. Dude hustles. Mad respect.
@@Bob123TV I would say he’s less funny than the average person based on the podcast. I have no idea how his most recent stand up is though so hopefully he’s improved a lot over the years.
Finally some stand up footage from Big Brown! For me, an european citizen, it's pretty impossible to see Schaub live, so it's awesome to finally see what is he about in case of stand up comedy.
R. M EXACTLY!! It’s soooo funny how people always talk about his success or how “hard “ he’s worked. I hardly ever see anyone taking about how FUNNY he is, which is the most important part of being a comic lol
a lot of people don't realize big browns drive he won't stop till he makes it thats why he was in the UFC I really still want to see one more fight though
The best part of my day is jumping in my truck and listening to the fighter and the kid. Brandon is all around entertaining. Him, bryan, Rogan could take over this whole entertainment game very easily. We need a movie with all 3 of them and I would be good. Brandon, I know you more than likey never see this or hear about it, but I'm gonna say it anyway. I dont need to say good luck, you already got this shit on lock. So keep doing brother, you guys bring so much laughter and good times to me and my family
I've seen Brendan on Joe's podcast and many other places, I never knew he was a fighter lol. I actually went on youtube to find out if maybe he had some standup work. To my surprise, i found he was a UFC heavyweight fighter and it blew my mind. I have so much more respect for this dude.
What the fuck!! Hahahah this dude made a documentary about his achievements in comedy?? It should be 1 second of a picture of Joe Rogan. Roll credit. "He wouldn't be allowed at the comedy store" Joey Diaz
Ever since i first saw brendan on joe rogan his episodes on rogan is my favorite, even if im not interested in mma and whatnot. Just a chill, down to earth, straight teller. Fighter and the kid is now my favorite podcast!
I love that story with how Bryan eased him into doing comedy. He seems like such good dude, that genuinely looks out for his friends. Long live The Kid
I wish him the best, but I am hater when it comes to his comedy. Well actually I think its jealously. Nah , I know it is.... Keep on keeping on brother.
I wasn't too impressed with his stand-up comedy nor his stand-up fighting game, BUT I will say I am impressed and inspired by his heart and comfort in his own skin. Love that. No fear of failure
Brendan is super inspiring, not because it's some dude with perfect perfect perfect horseshit. This guy you see work through failure time and time again in this video, which is what most of us are forced to do every day. Wish more things we see today had this feel and theme to it.
Shane Marchwick straight up. Schaub is a dude that’s fucking worked his ass off in everything he’s done and has earned everything he has. Dude has grown on me so much these past 6 months and has become an actual inspiration
I went from TMP because to listening to Callen, Sasso and Deliah to listening to TFATK and admittedly went into it thinking "Schaub is going to be a typical fighter with nothing to add" I was so wrong. such a great guy and funny as hell. Way to go Brendan, keep up the good work.
Gotta love a success story like this and he's only getting more successful. Its good that he has guys like Callen, Rogan and the friends he has in life to keep him always rising to the next level.
Brendan. Mad respect. Joe . That’s how you love a friend. TFATK. Crew with Santino, Joe with Joey CoCo, Papa, Ari, Tom, all you guys! I appreciate the laughs and brain food you guys offer. Even you Bryan Caullin...Cullin...Colin...Colon.
I admit I have hated on Brendan earlier......but the dude's a Gangster. Reinvented himself Like no other athlete ever has! Major Props to Onnit for the slick peice.

Good job Brendan its been cool following your career the past few years
Schaub is such a humble guy. Make sure you watch the Fighter and the Kid podcast. Especially the Chris D'Elia one and the Bobby Lee one. 10/10. Yep
iobe son he literally just started im pretty sure
Funny guy to talk with conversationally but the stand up thing seems a bit of a reach for my boy
He filmed a special recently. Not sure when its going to be out. Probably soon. They talked about it on a podcast
This Friday, Comedy Central- “this is not happening” 11pm. He has a 7 min bit airing this Friday night. Finally we will see if homeboy is funny or not
Get ready for rogan to tell him he can never be a top level comedian
@Marten Dekker ya schuabs gonna have to talk to rogan
rogan never been funny
I wonder who will be the one to tell Joe that same thing!😂
Rogan is sometimes funny on the podcast not live.. live he's shite
rogan is a cool guy but his standup is shit lmao. Schaub is a way better talker, and he has Callen too.
willing to step of the football field, in ring, in front of the mic and get on a stage. MAD PROPS SCHAUB
