Erna Hrönn (vocals) is a well known and loved singer in Iceland who has sung in countless big concerts and shows, musicals and of course Söngvakeppnin, both as a lead singer finalist with Ástin min eina in 2011 and as a singer and backing vocalist numerous times. She sang backing vocals for Yohanna's Is it true in Moscow 2009 which reached the 2nd place in the Grand final and with Hera Björk in 2010 in Je ne sais quoi.
Hjörtur Traustason (vocals) charmed the judges and the viewers of the Voice Iceland 2015 with his charismatic performances and powerful rock voice and ended up as the winner of the Voice Iceland in November 2015. He has also been singing with the Icelandic group Fjallabræður.
Actress, singer/songwriter and lyricist Thorunn Clausen also wrote the lyrics to the Icelandic Eurovision entry in 2011 Coming home performed by Sjonni's friends, along with her late husband singer/songwriter Sjonni Brink. Among other lyrics she has written for Söngvakeppnin is Aftur heim, Hugarró - Magni Ásgeirsson 3rd place finalist in 2012, Stund með þér, Rósa Birgitta ísfeld, finalist in 2012, Leyndarmál - Íris Hólm in 2012 and Elsku þú - with Sjonni's Friends member Vignir Snær in 2013.
