The right stick movements can be quite hard to tell apart, depending on play style. I know quite a few controller demons who tend to "ride" the analog stick with their right thumb at all times rather than simply flicking the crosshair - they do so because doing this helps activate the aim assist if they run into the enemy, always keeping their crosshair moving in a smooth motion. I know one who'd always get called out for being on MKB till he started doing controller handcams lol. Conversely, some keyboarders look like controller gameplay where they play on a pretty low sens and also ride the game's turn speed cap often, doing a lot of flicking around with their crosshair with the turn speed cap smoothing out the motion.
That is true, some players will be better with hiding their mouse aiming than others!

What about those that use a Razer Tartarus with the analog stick for movement with a mouse, I guess it’s the micro aim adjustments you look for otherwise you would think they are on controller.
That’s not true analog movement I have one. It’s the same as the up down left right arrows on the keyboard.

@@greenslur5138 you are correct but that’s not true analog. Use a controller and you will see the difference between the two. Analog feels 360 if that makes sense.
If a player would use an analog device for movement then yeah, you would need to focus on the aim alone and disregard the character movement!
@@XIMCentral very unorthodox but this is how I play, not sure if I’m doing my self an injustice by using the Razer Tartarus analog stick for movement and mouse for aiming.

I like both actually. Controller with gyro is as accurate as a mouse with minimal training, so for me it mainly comes down to which game feels more comfortable with which input device! :)

You mean distinguishing a wooting analog keyboard from an analog stick? That is almost not possible, you would need to be so aggressive on the detection parameters that tons of normal analog stick players would get falsely detected too.
When is the latest firmware released? I am currently using the beta version and am experiencing problems with the Xbox X
If the xim is meant to mimic a controller input , shouldn't the gameplay at high levels be indistinguishable from one another?
When using SAB that is the case, yes. SAB will ensure your mouse and keyboard inputs are adjusted to become like stick output. But without SAB you can achieve aim and movement inputs with your mouse that a controller sticks from a physical point of view cannot replicate. A mouse could achieve a 0,01% stick peg input, but a physical controller stick couldnt. But from a digital point of view the controller can obviously send a 0,01% stick signal. For the XIM the controller is only a messenger that transfers data to the console.

Its a small difference, but its true yes. Mainly the micro movements are better on Xbox due to the sticks having 256 times the resolution of PSN sticks.

Do you know if the xim team is going to make an update to the xim apex manager? For the new android 14 update. I like the apex far more than the matrix. I have been a xim user for over 10 years.
Hey, see Obsivs longer response in the XIM Forum on that. Right now the XIM Team has no capacity to do such things. Maybe in 2024 this may happen, but its not a high priority. XIM Apex is out of production for like 3 years now and the two active XIM products (XIM Matrix and XIM Nexus) have priority. The to-do list for both of them is quite long as well.

Hey, do you mean the scope sensitivity multipliers? You can find those in the advanced sensitivity settings in the game.

Both the general Matrix OW2 config video with all its AA boosters and such, as well as the dedicated Solider & Baptiste anti recoil setup. Those also still work. There really isnt any new discovery or ingame change that requires an update right now, hence nothing new came out since then.

Hey, delete all registered WiFi networks in your PS5 and verify that both your PS5 and XIM Matrix are connected to your router. If that is the case and you cannot establish a connection yet, then the console will show you an error code with more information on what the issue can be.
If you mouse is a 1000 hz should your XIM matrix rate be 1000 hz too?
If you want to benefit from the 1000Hz update rate then yes!
Hey, how can i use my normal beloader and my cable headset? but i dont hear anything, and if i want do switch in the ps5 menu from remote play to headset its dont work i dont see my headset in the fast menu only remote play
The original Beloader has no audio support if i recall correctly. You would need to use a USB headset or some other way to connect your headset to the console (that doesnt require the audio port of the controller).

Hey, that wont happen anymore. XIM Apex is out of production for like 3 years now and wont return. Instead a new XIM has been launched this year called XIM Matrix.

@@Warden585 You have 7 groups so that is the maximum you can handle per config. For more you will need to load a second config via hotkey that can then handle another 7 groups.

The hardware of XIM Apex is too old to run more complex SAB algorithms, so no there wont be any update. The dev team tried it but its just not possible.

@@YT-hr8yv Matrix has much better SAB due to its better hardware. You must only update its firmware to the new beta one and then follow the SAB Guide from the XIM Forum. Then you wont have issues in any game anymore.

Hey, you must also update your manager. You cannot use the one from the iOS Store anymore. Instead download the one from the XIM Forum through Apple Testflight.

Preferred input method plus lots of console exclusives or friends only playing on consoles. Matrix also offers a ton of controller improvements so since then i slowly started to transition to a controller.
Any info on the mouse trap system. All of the sudden I'm mouse trapped when the new R6 season dropped. Even on controller i get trapped up, is there a config happening soon or is it not out yet?
Hey, what config do you mean? Normally you must just install the new XIM Matrix Beta Firmware and follow the SAB Guide from the XIM Forum.

Hey beam i have a Proplem with my mouse G Pro X Superlight 2 Recently i got it and I Changed The Mouse Settings and dpi and Hz to 1000 on G Hub, but the issue is whenever i plug the usb on the xim apex and move my mouse it keeps telling me the hz is 125 and i cant move the mouse is gprox2 not supported or the console cant read it for your information i play on series s

@@thennbhd I dont think so, no. XIM Apex is out of production for like 3 years now and the dev team has quite a lot of work with Matrix and Nexus right now. Maybe sometime later in 2024, but you can also fix it by using a normal USB 2.0 wireless receiver (such as the one from the first superlight). Maybe Logitech will also fix that issue with a firmware update.

XIM Apex isnt PS5 compatible, thats why it doesnt work. You would need XIM Matrix for that. either play the PS4 version, then it will work, or use one of the PS5 workarounds that i posted videos on in the past.

For example in R6 i only need samrt actions and no need to recognize its controller
Yes that will be possible with the upcoming beta firmware. It should be out early 2024. Its currently being tested and refined! :)

Hey, its not possible to run the Nexus smart actions from a XIM Apex. For that you would need XIM Matrix which offers smart actions as well. As for Nexus and Siege, right now you would need to pair it to a Matrix. The SAB of Matrix is currently being tested with Nexus. Once enough data has been gathered then Nexus will probably receive the firmware update. Until then you would need to pair it to a Matrix with SAB, or not use the gyro in Siege.
@@XIMCentral I see, kinda sucks to find that out now bc I have a nexus coming for Christmas, but I’ll just have to pick up a matrix sooner than planned. The sab from the apex works well for me so I’m pretty confident in the matrix (I’m not too informed, using 100 hip and 70 ads I believe) but I rarely get MT.

Why do I feel like the xim apex has stronger aim assist then the matrix
Because XIM Matrix is more direct and responsive, as a result you have less aim assist. The new beta firmware has a XIM Apex compatibility mode via synchronous smoothing if you prefer how XIM Apex felt.

Hey, du musst in den Audio-Einstellungen "XIM Matrix" also Audiogerät auswählen. Im Anschluss muss das Headset mit den Controller verbunden werden. Der PS4 Controller muss auch ein PS4 v2 Controller sein, der v1 Controller unterstützt kein Audio über USB. Die PS4 Pro kommt mit einem v2 Controller.

@@mr.milchkekshd4073 Hey, an der PS4 ist es ausreichend einen DualSense Controller in Port 3 des XIM Matrix zu stecken und dann das Headset mit dem Controller verbinden. Solltest du Remote Play benutzen dann musst du noch in die Audioeinstellungen der Konsole gehen (Systemeinstellungen) und dort die Audioausgabe und Mikrophoneingabe auf XIM Matrix stellen.

@@bordertothemax5920 Hey, try one step at a time. Only use the XIM Apex and see if everything works. Then add the Besavior and see what happens then. The Matrix manager wont work with XIM Apex, and the XIM Apex manager is not Android 14 compatible.

Xim Matrix lässt mich nicht aus dem Remote Play raus und egal ob und wie der Dualsense verbunden ist ob mit der Xim oder nur mit der Konsole wie ich ihn ja nutzen will wenn ich die Xim nicht brauche unterbricht ständig die Verbindung und der Controller geht aus und die Konsole sagt alle 20 Sekunden Remote Play verbunden. Gibt es da keine Lösung die einem nicht so auf die Nerven geht ? Muss sie sonst leider zurückschicken, will sie nicht dauernd abstecken weil meine Tastatur dann auch aus ist 👀
Mit der kommenden Beta Firmware wird es da eine Lösung geben (einfach in eine nicht-Remote-Play Config wechseln). Bis dahin einfach dein XIM von der Konsole abstecken, andernfalls wird die Verbindung laufend erneut aufgebaut.

@@hxtedcarnage Zusammen mit dem Besavior U5 geht das ja bereits. Sollten die PS5 Verschlüsselungskeys irgendwann mal frei per Google zu finden sein dann ja, es wird dann eine Möglichkeit für den Nutzer geben die in das XIM hineinzufügen.

@@hxtedcarnage Mit XIM Apex ist das der Fall, mit Matrix hat sich das geändert da Matrix jetzt die DPI Zahl für die Berechnung der Mausbewegungen benutzt. Ein höherer Wert bedeutet mehr Präzision.

i have to update the xim apex ios manager from my pc like every day now. do u know a fix?
also, been using the apex almost daily for 6 years. the same device, never a major issue, all praise to the company. can u recommend a wooting keyboard thats compatible with xim apex

@@XIMCentrali have to update the xim app on my iphone with sideloadly every day. before it was every 7 days. with the xim ios file on pc
@@MightbePettingmyCat I am not familiar with iOS devices anymore as i switched to Android a while ago, sorry. Given how no one else reported a similar issue i assume its due to sideloadly or some other iOS related reason. Maybe fully delete everything and reinstall it agian. Or use the sideloadly WiFi workaround to auto-sign the app everytime its about to expire.
