    In this video, we delve into the world of the Squier Bass VI, exploring its features and tones. We'll go from regular guitar review, sounds, testing and playing on this instrument to the full disassembling, soldering and preparations for the upcoming hand painted customization. Whether you're into low tuning or seeking a versatile instrument for various genres, the Squier Bass VI offers endless possibilities for guitar modification and design (and you can play it like a regular bass, obviously).
    This is two guitars in one. Metal riffs in down tuning, thall and djent, other modern music? - You're welcome.
    More classy vintage sounds of the bass guitar, used by Beatles and other famous musicians? - you can do it, too.
    I tested it with the aproach of guitarist, so I played it like baritone guitar in low tuning.
    When I say low I mean VERY low..it's bass E tuning with 24-84 gauge strings.
    And Offcourse I teared it down into pieces for upcomming custom painted sketch on the guitar body and pickguard
    So this awesome instrument will receives a completely new look and design with help of my sketches. Join me and we explore the process of guitar customization with this iconic Fender Squier model.

    I really like that 30 inch neck
    One reason why bass VI would be far better then most baritone guitars is due to ti the standard tunings if each
    A bass VI is whole octave down (12 semintines down)
    E1 A1 D2 G2 B2 E3
    Where alot of baritones are just a 7 string without the high E (5 semo tones lower)
    B1 E2 A2 D3 G3 B3
    and at most they are just like a 8 string without yhe high B of high E (10 semi tones down)
    F#1 B1 E2 A2 D3 G3

    Play slightly more staccato on those echoes and you'll hear them better and stay more in the pocket. Great guitar and nice find!!!

    Maybe the best clear high gain tone heard in a tons of video about this bass. But now i need to know.. what tuning, strings and gear did you use? Thanks bro.

      thanks for the comment)) this is 24-84 bass strings (I prefer thin strings, it's too much, but it's not my guitar) Tuning is standard bass E for 4 strings + higher 1 and 2, gear - Helix Native on PC, my stereo preset for guitar with some bass cut (just a little)

    A Bass VI is a bass guitar, not a baritone guitar. Two different tunings, scale length, string gauge, etc. The terms are not interchangeable.

    • @worknrolla
      @worknrolla  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yeah,but)..many people now use them as a baritone, yeah, you can change the tuning for baritone and strings gauage (not in this case, but you can)

    • @-jank-willson
      @-jank-willson 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      not really. you can always change the tuning, and you can always change the string guages. as for the scale length, there are bass guitars that are 26" scale, 28" scale, and 30" scale. MOST guitars are 26" scale, MOST baritone guitars are 28" scale, and MOST bass guitars are 30" scale (like this one), but those are not definitive rules. there are some basses that are 26" scale so that they can fit into a standard guitar case, for instance...

      This not bass because it's use guitar strings not for bass so it's still long scale baritone with much thicker string gauges so basically it's much closer to bass but still not a bass! But you cannot call a bass guitar even some marketing idiots name it bass guitar 😂

  • @Film.look.addiction
    @Film.look.addiction 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have this guitar or it's a bass and guitar and baritone at same 😂 time well it's complicated to understand what a hell is this. But is definitely not for first guitar because you cannot play like regular guitar and cannot play like bass so you have to really adapt you guitar playing skill to this weird instrument. But it's will good for crazy low tuning for Djent lovers! Or if you want make your own music that can easily stand out from rest it's also can be a good choice. Also all guitar pedals will work very strange because they not made to sound good with this guitar so it another big problem to build your pedal board but bass guitar pedals and amps make this guitar sound even more like bass guitar.

      very complex review, thanks) I have some troubles, too and I used post EQ a lot in this test to cut some low frequences..and yeah, you need to suffer and learn how to play on this, but it's realy fun thing, for some experiments..maybe with delay, fuzz..for some ambient or crazy sounding low tones, something like this..and yeah, 0-0-0-0-0-0 is also sounds good))
