If it is an old truck as implied it’s likely that it was a manual and therefore he would need both hands, assuming it was a column shift it would be in the middle between the passenger and driver, so listener would have either straddle their legs in either side or sit their wet feet on his seat. But mostly he needs to hands to change gears even if it wasn’t a column shift, he could not have his arm around listener. Not be rude but my little hyper focus atm is my old ford pickup called mavis that I’m doing up and I needed to say something lol. Correct me if I’m wrong though!
