@@theworkshopuk hello….perhaps you could make a video and explain where should be connected the spotlights? It would be nice to know how to check the bike for short circuits and common mistakes we currently do. Should we use fuses on the bike? Thanks! Ed
Great program guys. Q- I was watching another program the mechanic said that there was no timing mark on the motor. He said he thought they had installed two right hand flywheels. Claiming that it gave you more horsepower. Have you ever heard of that. The bike was a 49 Panhead.
Nice video. My 1940 WL started getting harder and harder to shift out of third gear. So I replaced the clutch plates and hub as they were well worn. Now it only seems worse, no matter how I adjust the clutch all gears grind. So I am wondering if something in the transmission could be going bad?? Any advice?
Hello again. a question for Ash, I'm not getting a straight answer on any forums, not sure anybody really knows? New colony tripper bolts, (seem soft) new european made starter gear, not Vtwin or eastern. at the top of the return swing after running through a kick start, manually, the shaft and starter gear gets stuck, not returning the kicker lever all the way. and it feels rough. I've rotated the trippers, that get gouged really easy. at this point we are thinking the "left side countershaft bushing", the one in the case, might be causing this as it is worn beyond the dimensions mentioned in the manual. as a side note, when mocked up, using a crescent wrench, rotating the opposite direction it works wonderful and smooth. also, the shaft is straight, we measured it for runout, the starter gear doesn't seem to be hanging up on the splines,,, and nothing looks odd. At wit's end, haven't got a scooby. Thanks in advance
I think we've all "ahem" been there... After the last Bond film I wondered who the oldest actor playing Bond was. Word to the wise - don't google "old man bond age".
Great content and information, thanks for making it!
Cheers Ed!
