      Honestly it will benefit the XFL more than the NFL. There are many players on the cusp on making a roster or maybe are un drafted and dont make a team. It gives guys an opportunity to play the sport they love. They only get paid 60k plus benefits. Not a lot of money to risk a major injury. So I respect these guys a lot. I hope its successful in the long run so these guys can get paid more money.

    Max Bhorgi needs to earn himself a contract in the NFL. I watched him at WSU and the dude plays a lot like Christian McCaffery. He's small and stocky but also extremely angile and quick. Has great hands and can be used at the WR position and to run screens. And is a decent pass blocker when asked to protect the QB. He's a product of someone who didn't receive the attention and spotlight he deserved in college cause he played for the Cougars who always fall under the radar and never is talked about or shown national wise. But game 1 in the XFL and he immediately made big plays and scored. I hope dude ends up in the NFL next season he's a diamond the rough as they say.
    And he's not as good as McCaffery but he's definitely a play maker and has versatility. Darren Sproles kind of role would be perfect.

    I think this new style of kickoff is actually pretty cool.. I didn’t think I’d like it when I heard about it but seeing what it actually is in an official game changed my opinion. I think the traditional kickoff we have is the cooler and imo it was a lot of fun to be a gunner or returner when I played but the risk of injury is astronomical with that style of kickoff and the new one in the XFL may not be as flashy but it will exponentially mitigate injury.

    • @kurtpjung
      @kurtpjung ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's definitely interesting. I just don't see how a team is supposed to onside kick in this setup? I saw a suggestion once that the scoring team gets 4th and 15 from like their own 35-yard line or whatever, and then they can choose to punt or try to go for it which I think would be a lot of fun to see. If teams get desperate there's the chance for trickery with a fake punt call or the like and punt returns are much lower injury risk than kickoffs.
