Fun fact: 7x07 is the episode Ian was suffering from Appendicitis. He could have stayed in the hopstial and wait for surgery, but chose to do the show instead.

I didn't realise how vicious Ian was on Paul back in the day.
The Hislop and Merton of today are two 60-something wry softies compared to what they were like in the 90s. Just goes to show how different and nasty humour could be then: lots of snarky comments about "ponces" and "slappers". The banter between Paul and Angus might've seemed funny then but now it just seems cringey and inexplicable.
Very disappointing. I like HIGNFY in general, but I did not enjoy this, especially not Jonathon Ross's aserbic interventions.
He is frankly an obnoxious character
He was better suited to never mind the buzzcocks where that arrogance worked much better. This is a little too high brow for him.
