I would have taken the Bandit. You can put 10T BA inside and it has firing ports. Plus it can carry another BA on top, which can also shoot while on the bandit. And the Bandit gets 10 evasion at full sprint.
Get some skill on the tank pilot, and you can get to 12 evasion on them. I run two with the double battle armor set-up. 10 ton inside, 7.5 ton gnomes on the outside.
This, especially if you can get a Bandit with LRM20(C). And as weapons for the 10T Golem, the BA Heavy Rifle is the best. You can also lower the (inside one) BA's armor to carry heavier weapons.
I am fine with them a little longer. I sometimes thing the shorter ones that are like 45 mins are too short. If you want you can make your own cliff hanger by hitting pause and starting the vid later when you have time to resume.
You know, this is the first time I felt you and I were playing the same game! I got back into Roguetech Lance-A-Lot from watching your Let's play two month's ago. The early game was just brutal! I nearly gave up after my third tpk within the first two weeks, each after 2-4 missions. Many just like this episode, were I was outnumbered and outgunned by at least 2-3 times. So much armor to grind! I finally managed in my fourth try, because I got lucky with a starting Hunter tank that had 1 ton fascam ammo; it allowed me to control the battle field, choose where I fought, stopped getting flanked, and just hit the enemy light mechs with my starter pilots. I also got lucky with my first build, a 20 ton HQ Truck (?) that allowed me to resupply. I lost count of the missions where I hid in the corner for 12 rounds emptying out my mines with that 20LRM; and whatever LRM's my mechs had "bee stinging" the enemy with my 0.9% chance to hit. I'd say of my first 50 missions (all between 0.5 and 1.5 skulls, facing off my 2-3 skull lance,) I'd say a good 35 were fighting 12-20 enemies, be they tanks, mechs, turrets, or worst of all, the damn damage sponge Battle armor.
FYI regarding ProtoMechs, because squads can be anything that is a Light Mech, they can have stunning amounts of armor in a squad. I am currently fighting a squad where the total armor on them is 900ish and each unit has 90 structure. They are evil as they are almost impossible to kill and you can't crit them and they can't eject. Best you can hope for is that they panic and run away or that you destroy enough of their weapons such that they are not an issue anymore, but that can still take several rounds of firing. With your amount of ammo and reliance on ammo based weapons that could be a real issue.
Oh good...I'm not the only one that gets the mosh pit missions where it seems like overwhelming odds...get spanked but in the end manage to get a win... Daggum...you covered that map in mines...LOL! Keep em coming!!!!
That was not a difficult mission. If you want a real challenge, you play the mech infestation virus flashpoint and after you finish it agree to help out Bishop with further infestations. The missions you will get then are really difficult cause you face between 25 and 30 enemies. 10+ marauders, 4+ kit foxes, 2 full kill teams with 5 mechs and some spare change. You think your stealthed fliers are relatively save cause high evasion and stealth but then you lose 2 or 3 of them in one or two turns.
the clans use 5 units per "lance" instead of 4, so you are allready 25% in the hole. Comstar uses 6, so instantly a 50% disadvantage. 2 lances from them effectively are 3 lances.
You keep saying that the Ryoken did nothing, but it did do a lot. It added weight to your lance and brought the enemy's supporting lance, that's what it did.
I am now in my 2nd mission in a row where I am against the Clans and they have the kindness to be 15 on 5. Yeah I am over pointed against them, but only by 3pts. You would think that doesn't account for 2 extra stars, maybe 1, but not 2.
Buys BA ADV. SRM-2 while speed reading the item information screen on whether it needs ammo. Baradul states that it does not say if its needs ammo after reading the first line, if he read the second line all of his answers would be known to him. Baradul, please slow down and read the details, you can edit the video and cut out you reading the details.
Does he even use the C3 network? Another annoying thing he does & EW/ECM forgetting to use it or put in mechs! Does not read how to use the BA properly. Obsessive compulsive building & re-building mechs over and over again. GL&HF all
Would you be willing to do a review of Roguetech? Never played it before and just got into the vanilla game recently and loving it. Curious how this compares 4/5 years later since it came out.
Tons of fun as usual Bara. This mission was 100% o Darius special. Bandit Hovercraft is one of the best Battle Armor platforms in the game, if you are going down that route. Lokking forward to the day when all the pieces to all the builds are finally gathered up.
Would you ever consider a lance of nothing but melee mechs designed for close up damage with some support mechs? Then just dropping right in the middle of your opposition and laying waste.
@@Tom_Foolery324 Yep, I know. Not the point. I know how to deal with them, but that doesn't mean I want to. If the launcher allows me to turn off Nukes and a bunch of other Custom Mech Modules, like the UbanApocolyps or whatever it is called, then personally at least I think I should be able to turn off Battle Armor.
100% agree - same weight, but you lose the -3 accuracy penalty the QS LRM's have! And I think that Baradul also has clam thunder ammunition, if he wants to continue with some minelaying shenanigans.....
Use CEI LRM 20s. Lower weight and uses all lrm ammo. Then can also add more ammo, more gear or weapons. Why he didn't go with this first makes my eyes cross. I mean, it's not like the ELrm didn't say it could only use regular ammo in the pop-up. He has to be trolling us to keep engagement up.

Sending anything into close range of BA is wild, he's still doing that, lol...
You should have turned the bloody vibrosword off to cool down =)

This was not a battle, heh^^
It felt like a drawn out war...
Well done winning it!
i'd have instantly restarted that mission as soon as the sound bug happened
it's not a sound bug, per se... it's the sound of a successful swarm
SO MUCH METAL. A lot of units.
Battle Armour is a pain in the ass. They become main target whenever they appear
Doesn't leaving the vibro sword on when you dont melee just build up heat for no reason?
Yep. he keeps forgetting
You should have taken the Jam FCS, it goes well with the Avenger and UACs

For the future, Salamander BA with 2 Flamers and a Cutting Torch each is Spicy.
Instant shutdown on just about any Mech.
the sound bug is the main reason i focus/avoid battle armor
I think the extra units were the Highlander's bodyguards....
Time to sacrifice a roomba to rngesus as he appears to be displeased

I wonder if using C3 would have been a good idea here. Hmm.. I wonder if Bara has any.. ;)
I want to see a huge rebuilding episode next.
if he has money

God I hate Battle Armor. I genuinely wish there was an option to completely disable Battle Armor from the game.
booo. learn how to counter them - they're fun!
A RAC2 or RAC5 + flak ammo = no more Battle Armor problems. Bonus, it takes care of annoying VTOLs as well.
@@tomas-qr2el If they are "fun" for you, awesome. I hate them, and to me they are not fun in the slightest.

Anybody want to take bets on how many episodes before he fixes the Broken Ryoken?
he pre recorded like 7 or so he said in a stream last week. so maybe at the next episode.
if he has the money.
Battle armour heavy battles are tedious to watch
Edit - ended up skipping most of the battle, the sound bug was just too annoying

He mentioned in his stream that he batch records and doesn't see comments until the next day. Also, he has ADHD sometimes he misses things.
no, he figured it out he said in a stream, but no, it is not for engagement, he admitted to simply overreading that.
