I was on Soulfly concert to met Max Cavalera, he is my idol. I have t-shirt Bestial Devastation with his signature, I put a frame over it and its on my wall ... (sorry for bad english)

The most impressive about the Eloy's technique is that he can play for 1 hour straight without lose the speed and the precision.

Ok, now that's not impressive, that's training. I play drums too (far, far, even further, far away of being as nearly good as these guys) but I can play a 2hrs gig without loosing speed and precision. And I don't talk about playing doom metal, where you hit the kick and then wait a week to hit the snare. But not talking about slipknot lightspeed tracks either

Você pode citar vários bateristas top como: Mike Portnoy, Mike Manginni, Joey Jordison, dentre outros grandes nomes da batera, mas concordem comigo, por favor, "NÃO HÁ NINGUÉM FAZENDO O QUE O ELOY FAZ ATUALMENTE" O cara é realmente diferenciado!!! Toda essa agressividade, pegada, precisão (sem usar triggers) execução perfeita e acima de tudo, versatilidade, sim, pois essa máquina domina todos os ritmos brasileiros e vários dos ritmos estrangeiros com excelência!

Eloy got my total respect and admiration when he played flawlessly Phil Collins! A completely different and complex genre and he simply nailed it! Even he honoured his dad! A total Class Act!

Eloy played when he was 16 years old with Andre Matos, which was the former vocalist of Angra, another metal band from Brazil. Eloy comments that in some of his COVID-19 quarantine videos, were he tells his story since the beggining. I'm really proud to see people from all around the world, and people like you Siberiano which knows what is talking about, recognizing and passing forward very good impressions of his drumming techniques and musicianship.

Considero esta uma etapa muito preciosa na carreira de Eloy Casagrande.
Realmente Marlon, ele pulou essa parte da história do Eloy, ele não ficou parado e “Do Nada” foi parar no Sepultura. Antes gravou com o Saudoso André Matos.
E fazia parte da saudosa banda Gloria também.

I’ve see so many drum videos of him and he needs to be in the drummer hall of fame period!!’ Speed and power plus precision , think about it Brazilian percussions are no joke, deeply rooted in samba, jazz just like he mentioned so not only is he precise but his ability to to use his body isolating limbs with ease due to his background in jazz and Brazilian percussion!!! He’s a national treasure I think!!

This video is absolutely HISTORIC. I’ve probably watched legitimately about 150-200 times over the last 3 years. I am blown away every single time.
There is a gap in Eloy's history here. Before he joins Sepultura, he was kindly invited to join Andre Matos' solo band and record the album "Time to be Free" with him. By that time, he became more popular amongst metal heads across the globe, traveled around the world with the band and got more notoriety with other drummers. After touring with Andre Matos is when Eloy became part of Sepultura family and became an even bigger drummer. I totally recommend people to listen to Time to be Free from Andre Matos so you will know a different Eloy

Eloy is absolutely awesome and deserves the praise! What he done with Sepultra since his joining in 2011 has been otherworldy, and as much as I loved Jean I think it was a big upgrade for the band to have Eloy join their ranks.
As someone with not a shred of musical talent, I am always blown away when I watch talented drummers like you and Eloy. The neuromuscular coordination it takes to play the drums like this is insane, to say nothing of the strength and endurance. I love your videos, and especially appreciate how the mutual admiration within the community seems to flow.

I first heard Sepultra in grade school, and loved "Ratama"... You know it! I stopped for awhile, but seeing this, and on Drumeo recently, whoa what a drummer!
On another note, I used to have a Brazilian percussionist in my band, and he was epic. A monster at congas... could play all night, solo like a mad man... he told me that they have days long competition in Brazil, of hand drumming... and this part, I don't know if it was true, he said that these guys would play so brutal that they often would bleed from their asses... lol. I gave him the WTF look. He says "yes!"... Still have no idea if he was telling the truth. Lol
