- Hey y'all! Hope you're all having a good weekend!! This week I covered a song that I've wanted to cover for almost a year, but never really got around to doing it. Dear Evan Hansen was the first musical I ever got into and this song has always been one of my favorites! HUGE thank you to Eiles, Barry and Bo who did an absolutely amazing job on their parts!! That was such a good show! I got the honour of seeing it right before it went off broadway, and before the pandemic. I had loved the books, and honestly, the show lived up to the hype!

The thing about the song. It's well sung. But damn if people tried to guilt trip me for making my own choices like this I'd cut them out of my life like a god damn cancer. If someone's THAT fucking... I don't even have the words for it! Dependant? Parasitic? Controlling? Emotionally abusive? There's a fuck of a lot to unpack in the sheer poison that the song is spitting at the so called 'unfaithful' character. If it was pleading or asking for them to come back then it would by sympathetic, but the sheer poison in this makes me think that a heavily abusive controller is being cut away and bitching about it.
Q: i think the first musical i got into was matilda , my MT school made us do it for like 4 years straight so i got sick of it eventually though💀

Technically my fair lady was my first but I dont count that because I dont really remember anything about it cause I was like 5-6
In my modern musical theater obsession run, itd have to be newsies officially, but then, I'm not as big a fan of the actual musical, just the disney movie, so I'd ultimately count the next one as my real start
Hamilton is the first musical where it was a stage show in the modern era of my musical theater obsession so generally I'd credit that as my first
