Another fact is that kuttan in real life did not even get any helmet 🪖 also police took al their wallets and gave just enough money to fill diesel on return, also subash was just 18 when this happened to him, also real Subash had depression in his family, his father died of suicide when subash was a kid. on top of that another trauma like this for him to deal with is so sad. He is still unmarried guy. Very humble and kind person and the group is still very strong they don't go anywhere for any interview without the whole group.

I was laughing, I was scared, I got at the edge of my seat, I was sweating, I was crying, I was wholeheartedly clapping... Outstanding direction, acting, cinematography and everything just great! There was one more detail which I think shouldn't go unnoticed. At the start of the movie, we see Kutan serving food to the people at the wedding and asking Sudhi to give them water. However, Sudhi avoids it by asking someone else to serve the water, as he cares a lot about hygiene and thinks his shirt would get spoiled and dirty. His other friends also ask him how many times he has bathed today, pointing out how much he cares about his cleanliness.
But after Subhash falls into the cave and it starts to rain, Sudhi waits in shock for some time, as if unable to process what had happened, while observing his friends trying to stop the water from going inside. He still doesn't do anything except stand there, and his friend points this out, asking him, "Why are you standing still like a statue and caring about your shirt and hygiene while others are trying to stop the water from going inside?"
However, when the forest guard arrives and tells them that their efforts will be in vain as his friend must already be dead, Sudhi snaps out of the shock and with a heart-wrenching cry of "Subhash!" he plunges into the dirt, frantically working to stop the water. In that moment, his concern for cleanliness vanishes, and the depth of his friendship becomes starkly evident, showing that his bond with Subhash means more to him than any trivial worry about his shirt.
This detail might be just some random thing I noticed while watching it the second time, but I still think it was a subtle detail which holds some meaning.

It's divine friendship
In the film they have shown that Subhash falls into the pit unknowingly, but in the real incident, the friends notice the pit and cross the pit for fun. Before Subhash few of them cross the pit. When Subhash crosses, he slips and falls into the pit. The real boys didn't knew that the pit would be so deep, hence they crossed it. This fact was revealed by Subhash himself in a Tamil interview.

10 people was the limit & they were 11 including driver. So when approached Checkpost, one of them shifted vehicle to another tour group passing the border.
The belt, which Subhash took from his brother got stuck on a rock, which prevented Subhash from sliding down further.
Fun fact : The blood on Subhash's body made by Oreo Biscuit paste.

Soubhin also a director. He directed movie called Parava. It was a good movie. Treated in a different style. He came as assistant director. He is one of the great actor in malayalam film. Watch his movie ilaveezha poonjira. You ill know how good he is. And understand his acting in manjummel boys. You should watch it in orginal language. Dubbed version cant get the full potential of the movie. It only make you understand the story.

Just before the scene where kuttan and subhash comes out of the cave-hole the rope slides into a crack and gets stuck. That crack in the rock was shown to the audience before when kuttan enters the hole. If you watch that scene again, you can see kuttan dragging the rope out of the crack by pushing against the rock while getting down.

The movie Guna talks about the pure love between shiva and Parvathi (purer than fire) shown in the form of Guna(Kamal Hassan) and rosy (Rekha), the whole song Kanmani anbodu talks about this love because Guna(who is mentally ill) believes rosy to be ma Parvathi who he is in love with, this love is considered to be beyond human understanding (this was even the last line spoken by Guna in the movie)
