  • This is the journey of my father, Haleem Phillipps. He shares his story of losing his mother at 3 years old, experiencing a tumultuous childhood, and turning to drugs to numb his reality. Addicted to opioids and marijuana, his life takes a turn for the better when he meets my mother and finds Christ. This is my father's journey to finding Beauty In The Ahes.

Wow! Wow! What a powerful interview, God continually bless you Mr. Phillips. I shared this interview with my 2 sons, one of my sons used to smoke the marijuana & cigarettes like him. I prayed, talked, send letters with info on the danger of smoking, send nicotine patches etc. Then Christmas morning of 2020, my son called and said," mom I have something to tell you". I have got baptize & quit smoking, fortunately I was sitting on my bed else I would fall. Therefore listening to your dad, send me the washroom at work to washed the tears away. WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVED. GOD BLESSED SIR

Probably my favourite episode to date ❤️…
I’m still praying for my Dad’s deliverance. He’s been smoking weed since we were teens, or at least that’s when I noticed it. And I’ve seen how he has become a hull of his former self. Career wise he’s not the man I grew up knowing, but he’s VERY much still brilliant. I feel like he’s allowed it and bad influence (certain people) to negatively impact his life. He’s the only one who was different from his siblings but is becoming more and more like them as the years pass. And not one of his siblings has done any real thing of substance in their lives. He also heavily speaks against Christianity. Please, if you could take some time and say a prayer for my Dad, it would mean so much to me. Thanks. 🙏🏾

Hello Yendi, know that we are all blessed. I Am 21 mins into watching, I feel as though your Father is confirming things that God has placed on my heart from a very early age. Again, I Am going to share this with My son who is in his early 30's & now has a daughter, I BELIEVE this is going to make a difference to him & many people around him. I will add as I go along, I thank your Father for going in front of the camera as I feel the same about remaining be it. So here I Am adding, our life is SPIRITUAL & we must learn who we are first, in doing this, our relationship with Jesus Christ dwelling in the Holy Spirit becomes alive. My dear Yendi, you came from a good seed which intern enter into good fruit too, I hope those who read, will take the time to understand this Man of God. Life is not about perfection, it is when we surrender, is then we meet our Divine Purpose & your Father is sharing this in such a beautiful way ♥. I will add as I go through this account of what your Father is sharing, I hope & pray that people will awaken to a calling that requires us to be AWARE.... Your Father's message is one I understand on so many levels, I thank your Father for sharing. One of My biggest loss is My Father, I thank God that I still have My Mother. My life has be tumulus, I chose GOD at age 4 & now at age 56, I can tell anyone, the one relationship that has never failed me is GOD. Life comes with pain & hurt, I will say this put ALL your Trust in God. Yendi, I thank you & your Father as I know this video will change many lives, for it touched me over & over again, thank you 🤗

What a story! What a father! Wendy I always see some qualities and values coming out of you my girl.I always think that you are not only beautiful but posseses one of the sweetest spirits. Now I have learnt that your background has contributed to the character you are.You are genuinely a sweet soul and this is as a result of that phenomenal man who is your father. Mr Phillips, you are a rare find. What a difference it makes in a man who has come to know the Lord. From your conversation with your daughter, I am concluding that you are one of the best and greatest father, husband, mentor, example and christian brother the Lord has placed on this earth. Yendi! Please ensure that this story be used to help other boys and men.Blessings perpetual to You and your outstanding dad.

Yendi, this was a beautiful sit down with dad. You recorded a few life hacks but there were so many. I especially liked the part where he said "cry if you want to" signifying that it is ok to show your emotions and be yourself. He accredits each achievement to God and does not take the glory for himself. He was not afraid to say that he is who is today because of JESUS. This was very deep. Love it !!!

The strength and foundation is a man of God who is so grounded in who he is, why is he here and a man of integrity. Yendi this was so emotional for me. I had to keep pausing so I can be soaked in the nuggets this father and daughter relationship has offered. It’s not just you both loving on each other - it’s the respect, trust and integrity with Christ as the centre that has me yearning and weeping. Be strong and bold in Christ as Beauty in the ashes blossoms and edifies lives 💕💯

An inspirational story of faith and hope, and putting God first at the centre of everything. Thank you for sharing your Dad's story with us, there were so many takeaways- never letting the child you in die, not being afraid to start again, not being too proud to take a job even though you're overqualified and taking his vows seriously. His acronym H.E.L.P is so apt - the seeking and offering in troubled times.
