Comparing Solana to just another Ethereum layer 2 sounds just insane. Base is just an Eth L2. Eth already has Arbitrum/Polygon/Base/Optimism running thousands of tokens. I remember people calling Optimism the ultimate L2 for Ethereum. Don't follow this trend, you will get Rugged.
I think the big thing that Base has going for it, is that it's an EVM chain, but has all the benefits that Solana has, it's a familiar UI, etc; It's easier for people to get into who've at least used EVM before & maybe haven't used other chains as much.. EVM has a better UI in my opinion in comparison to something like Solana.. Base just has to develop & mature a bit more, but I've been playing around with base a bit in the last while.. I'm usually an airdrop farmer & so I mostly avoided base because I didn't believe they would launch a token, lol but that's probably exactly why they will launch one xD
