Yoongi was signed as a producer because he showed his skills not only as a rapper but as a producer. On that competition there were 4 ready tracks. Participants had to choose one of them and rap. But unlike others Yoongi did more - he changed the chosen track showing producer skill

4:00 Suga was known in undeground hip hop scene as a producer, not only rapper. He was producing for other rappers, that's why he was signed at first as a producer. There is SO MUCH material out there! Sad, slow songs (Blue & Grey), slow, hopeful songs (Life Goes On), written to address the Covid epidemic, to reassure their army that spring will come. Fast, furious songs, like Mic Drop, with Steve Aoki, and of course Dynamite, which is, yes, all English. Beautiful ballads like Euphoria. Want a little Latin flavor? Airplane Pt. 2 or Filter, which really shows off Jimin’s voice and dancing skills in a solo effort. Gods, I can’t list them all! Go forth, my son, and dig deeper into the music.

22:36 i have to disagree. they were always relatable, that's why tons of young people were fans of them when they first started. they talked about the hardships youth and young adults face, and they're constantly growing and changing their sound and talking about relevant topics. 2016-17 was just kind of their breakout year? a lot of people heard about them and they were just getting bigger. sorry, i really suck at explaining things.

Bang Shi-Hyuk always believed that BTS would go farther than anything the boys could imagine. He always told them to dream big and work hard. Even when everyone told him to give up on the Boys, he never did. He stood by them through thick and thin. That is why BTS stands with and supports Big Hit Entertainment. Thanks to Bang's vision and creation we get to share in the Magic that is BTS. The fact that he gifted each member with their own shares in Big Hit from his personal stock is huge. They truly do have a special relationship between the management company and the artist. 💜

I learned them rather easily, tho.
Every single language is the same, the difference are only 2: Words & Structure. After learning the words and listening people speak japanese online you'll automatically understand the structure.

    • @CarolineForest
      @CarolineForest 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

They are just as similar as French and German. Same linguistic family (that means often things like language structure, vocal tone and sounds) but diffrent languages within that family. But also, if you know 1 language in one linguistic family, then you will have an easier time learning one within the same family than one in a diffrent linguistic family. So if you know German, you will easier learn Norwegian than someone from Spain. But if you know Spanish you will easier learn French. If you know Korean, you will have an easier time learning Japanese than you would Italian.
So language lovers who aim to learn as many languages as possible, often start off with 1 language from each linguistic family, that way they make base knowledge of every "family tree" and will make other languages easier to learn, dont make it EASY, just.... easier

    Japanese vs Korean vs English
Japanese is a totally different language from Korean. BTS had to learn speaking ang singing in Japanese during their training because Big Hit knew they have to try the market after debut. Japan is the 2nd largest market in the world after US with music income than even be bigger than UK because they have strict copyright law.
What took BTS by surprise was theie success in US, so the 6 members were not prepared in English except RM - the only member who is fluent enough to speak at understand it. But they can learn the English lines in their songs.

He is now literally the richest man in Korea, after a few months ago the shares of their company BigHit Ent. debuted at the stock market at double the price of their IPO, which is INSANE (also, each member of BTS was given shares of the company and they have basically 34% of the ent.). These guys bring more than 4.5B won to S.Korea each year - a seven member group made of boys in their 20s making billions but still staying truthfull to themselves and their craft. Even my bies is Suga (Agust D or Min yoongi), RM, The leader, in school, RM scored in the top 1% of the nation in the University entrance examination for language, math, foreign language and social studies and had an IQ of 148. RM (Kim Nam Joon), he began writing when he was 11 year old. He speak Enghish, Korean and Japanese fluidly. And he is learning other languages at the moment, too. He speaks a little of Spanish when he was in Mexico and Chile in Concerts. Anyway, my fav was Suga, because he was very poor, but he started to write at the age of 13 in Daegu, the city where he was born. He asked his musical teacher at school if she could teach piano. He learned piano and he became in rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is considered a Sort of Genius at the moment in Korea . When he was recruited by BigHit Cia, he had to leave a university degree (architecture), moved from Daegu to Seoul starting to work and breaking relationships with his parents who were opposed his musical career. He had to fight with depression, mental problems and even trying to think about suicide. In his rap "The Last" he refered it. Anyway, BTS got more 9 prize only in Korea this year. And Suga got the second prize without the resto of the boys. My fav rap of him, are "First Love" live performance. "Seesaw" live performance. Outro: "Shadow" Outro: Tear (with the rest of the rappers. but Suga wrote the music and his part of the lyrics) and the masterpiece of Agust D "Daechwita", (this year). Hoping you keep learning from them. They are all amazing. V (tae) one of the vocalist, unploaded a song yesterday "Snow flower". he has a deep voice, too. From Argentina. (Sorry my English. I speak Spanish in my country)

They need to be careful with their words. The song is nowadays said "NO" but it is written N.O. and they _claim_ it means "No Offence" .. ;D
They have had songs censored out of their already recorded albums because they were too politically charged..
There is this video where they talk about their then newest album and they are asked "what is your favorite song from this album?" And Suga says "my solo song." and RM comes in saying it was censored out of the album and Suga looks like *see this is what i have to deal with! This is the freaking life of a politically wake rapper in South Korea!*, but he says "that's right my solo song got cencored." (I'm sorry, I'm not sure what album it was.)

Asian languages are different from each country. Early KPOP years 2000-2010, Japan was the target market. Most groups are forced to learn Japanese language so they can promote and speak during shows. BTS underwent 3 years of training singing, dancing etc before debut. They also learned Japanese language. That is why they make Japanese albums and songs. Little did they know they would get globally big, and reach West and US. They are now learning English. They had to because they need to interact to a wider audience. But their Korean songs are still beautiful. It's time to widen their reach.

Since your from Spain you will understand this. If a person in Spain were to be asked if he could make an Italian album well he could and phoenically it would be fine since the language has similar sounds but they wouldn't understand if what they said was a correct translation of their Korean songs except that as RM is very intelligent and well so are Jin and Suga and Jimin there are at least 2 members that understand the language well. It took them a few years and I am sure they worked with a Japanese professional translator but the songs were well translated and they felt confidant that they could put out a Japanese album they could be proud of.

Dylan - thanks for your great video! You know it’s over now, right? You are hooked!
When you watch BTS TH-cam videos, be sure that they are official BigHit-produced - because those videos have English subtitles.
Many videos are based on classical literature. “Blood Sweat and Tears” is based on the novel “Damien” by German author Herman Hess. The book is an exciting novel describing an adolescent’s ancient recognition of opposite notions of good and evil and how man must be vigilant to avoid an unacceptable slide from good into corruption.
BTS World is educational, fun, humorous, and ridiculous - just like people!
I’ve subscribed and am eager to see your perspectives of the biggest group in the world.

If you think that them topping the bbhot100 chart with an English single, then you’ll finds incredible that they topped it with a Korean song called Life Goes On (lgo) you should listen to it with subs. Subs are important because a big part of their music is their moving lyrics

Welcome and enjoy the ride. Since they are globally famous, the ARMY fans easily translate their songs and shows in real time to your native tongue, like you in Spanish. Well I was like you in the beginning, I got drawn with their music and live performances. Then I went deep to their rabbit hole and enjoying the ride so far. They are inspirational. I am in my 40s and they are like close to your age too. Xceleste and DKDTV can give you a deeper dive somehow to understand the boys. Happy holidays and stay safe.

Yes. Japanese and Korean are completely different. In actuality, Korean Hangul has it's own alphabet and is uniquely different from other Asian alphabets, the history of which is very interesting if you're a geek like me.
