For the recast rewards from events, I'm concerned that's it will replace other more valuable rewards since they value it with legendary awakening currency.
I've pushed for blacksmithing / re-rolling options in the discord and surveys for a while, but this is not what I was after. You are going to spend your leftover stamina *somewhere*, and you want to be able to make progress over time. At the moment it's going into gear raid, and the returns just get less and less. My preference was to have a way to level up the blacksmith with some new tokens, so his minimum rolls increase. One example: - you get a Hawkeye piece and upgrade it to 4/8/12/16 - it rolls badly, so you have no use for it - instead of selling it, you can smash it to get 1/4/16/64 Hawkeye tokens - you go to a new Upgrade Blacksmith tab - you pick Hawkeye gear-type, pick a substat type e.g. crit-rate, and spend your tokens to improve it - costs should be fairly steep, like 40, 400, 4000, 40000. - each improvement raises the minimum that crit-rate can roll on Hawkeye gear by half a bar (rescales it, so your odds of getting purple and yellow get higher too) - the max upgrade would mean that you never get less than 2 bars (Maybe you can also limit how often the blacksmith can be improved to 3 per week to stop people going nuts!) (Maybe you can also spend 200 Hawkeye tokens to reforge a piece of gear, which will become more worthwhile over time as your Smith gets better).
I agree they should be purchasable with epic awakening tokens. Then they should make a separate hammer for ancients that you buy with 50 Legendary awakening tokens. Seems like a much more reasonable approach
gear recasting is nice if it would be easy to obtain for everyone and the resource to be scarce so you can't spam it. from the looks of it, it's going to be scarce, the problem is that whales will be able to get it by selling legendaries while normal and small spenders won't........i think having it in the arena shop 1/week would be great for everyone otherwise it's just going to make the difference between whales and normal players even greater
I think its cool that we get to choose to keep the roll or not. The price of getting them is pretty steep but we get them from immortal codex now so thats cool i guess.
In my opinion this gear rolling system works such way that we can roughly divide the gear in three categories based on how the stats rolls are distributed - bad, good and average. The example in the video shows that if you have average gear than after re-roll you would still get the same quality but just with another stats enchantment distribution, which doesn't practically make sense with such rareness of this recasting resources.

A compromise would be to create tiers of rerolls. Epic reroll would be this. Legendary reroll lets you choose which subs to reroll. Mythic is same as legendary but has a higher chance to roll higher substat values. Give all players easy access to epic and legendary whilst mythics can be event and whale only.

yeah, for sure that is ABSOLUTEL GARBAGE. not only is it bullshit that it's tied to legendary shards instead of epic, but it's just a slap in the face that it's half a million gold. Also, it's JUST a reroll! not even guaranteed to be better! And you can't even lock in good stats and just reroll the shitty ones! Like I've got a piece of gear that is an attack bonus main stat and has sub stats of flat attack, crit damage, crit rate, and attack speed. they all rolled purple except the crit rate was like 3%. I would not want to reroll ALL stats, just that garbage ass crit rate. yeah this was a swing and a miss by moonton and I'm now wishing I saw this yesterday before I dropped $300 on black friday shit. I wouldn't have given them a penny.

i was expecting it that would cost atleast a million or half of it in gold so atleast f2p players can advance well even for a little bit, ive been saving up alot of my gears with bad rolls even the ancient one, but seeing this seriously disappoints me, 2 weeks worth of saving 17million gold and my gear bag is almost full and still waiting to see if 2x gears is gonna happen in global, but seriously though it'd be hilarious to see it as you can buy those for selling bad heroes, it won't be well..
This would not be bad if they had an ability to know what gear is best with what hero. Maybe like a plus or minus symbol on the item when you equip it on each character.
Probably its like the legendary skill stone? One week on legendary coins, the other on epic? I think this is something they need to be careful with, otherwise we'll just have all the whales with perfect gear. 1-2 per week is fine. Min maxing gear is the endgame, if you can just get something good and reroll it endlessly, what would be the point?

They should include very clear patch notes in-game of everything changing in a patch, recently some artifacts were changed and I didnt see it anywhere
