24 Hours Surviving in The Mountains

- A two-day solo climbing/camping adventure in the Western Julian Alps.
Hiking in the rain and through the night led me to an old bivouac where I spent the night. The next day I Climbed Visoka Bela Špica, also known as the Beauty of the Western Julian Alps. On the way down I explored some old tunnels and bunkers from WW1.

this makes me feel like im going on an adventure without leaving my house
you deserve more views,we must grow you big
Hahah thank you brother, I really appreciate that ❤️
Man that views opening the door in the morning...astonishing. As you say, the important things in life.
A moment like that makes all the stress and worries go away! 😊
Wow that was a brilliant trip. The scenery was gorgeous, and of course empty of people - just you and the mountains. Not keen on bathing mountain streams though , must have been icey cold! A very nice video, you're getting very good with your editing I think. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you! 😊
Ohh man I always hated cold water, but this summer a friend of mine got me started with this ice baths, and I couldn’t thank him enough!
There are so many benefits of doing it, but it’s always a mental battle to convince yourself to do it :)
Ice baths = Vid Pintarič , right ? :) @@andrazegart
@@robocop-panda that’s right! :)
Thanks +++ that was a perfect adventure. I presume it’s pretty crowded in summer. You are an excellent climber and adventurer and also a wonderful film maker. I’ve read about the terrible battles in the Alps in WW1 and it was moving to see that tunnel.
The cold water swim at the end was insane
Thank you, I really appreciate that 😊
Never been here in the summer, but it’s a pretty popular area, so I doubt it’s as peaceful as it is in the winter :)
This guy is amazing, I am going to be like him one day.
Thank you! That really means a lot 😊.
Alpinism is a dangerous but very rewarding sport!
There are plenty of alpine school/courses in every country with mountains, so I really recommend you to sign up in that if you want to get started!
I wish you good luck!
Greetings from slovenia 😊
@@andrazegartbro I’m in Oregon and this is so cool! I love hiking but I wanna start climbing now
I really enjoy watching your videos. It's so soothing and motivates me big time to go outside more. Thank you for that. Also I don't think you need subtitles - your English is perfectly fine and you're easy to understand, also for other non-native speakers. Maybe that would save you some time editing. Looking forward to your next uploads!
Thank you brother. It really means a lot to hear that!
Yeah, removing subtitles would definitely save me a lot of time with the editing, but I think it’s an added value worth the effort.
I don’t know why, but when I’m watching other yt videos I always like to have subtitles :)
I also did a poll some time ago on my youtube channel if I should remove the subtitles or not, and majority of my viewers also preffer having subtitles based on the results :)
So for now I’ probably gonna keep on doing them 😊
@@andrazegart Whatever works best for you! :)
Btw you should check out climbing routes in Styria, especially „Gesaeuse“. It’s not too far of a trip for you I reckon and offers insane multipitch climbing of all difficulties. The routes are mostly on the harder side but you find lots of good 4+ to 6+ routes as well. Let me know if you need any tips! 🤙
@@stereoptr ohh nice, I’ve never heard of that area before. I’ll definitely check it out, thanks! :)
I like subtitles because help me to understand 😊

That was a beautiful tour. The only thing that I miss when I’m solo in the mountains is that I can’t share all the beautiful moments with somebody else

Izjemno lepi kraji :)
Maybe im a woosie but I think one of the most daunting thing of this is how cold it is. The way you sit there eating dinner while its freezing cold in essentialy a little hut. You seem so unphased!
For me as long as the weather is nice and I know where I am it’s not really scary. But I do fear getting caught in a thunderstorm.
I’ve been in such situations and I was scared shitless.
wow- a spectre of the brocken @18:09 you are very lucky to experience that phenomenon.
It’s my second time seeing it this month :)
It’s following me everywhere haha
I saw my only one climbing the Diamond in colorado, usa, 35 years ago!@@andrazegart
Bravo res vsaka čast ! Nikol ne razočaraš, glavo maš na mestu.. Top. Kr tko naprej , pa še kak video več od Zahodnih Julijcev. A po teh tunelih je že pot Anita Goitan al kej druga ? Zgleda zlo zanimiv ! :)
Hvala! 😊
Definitivno se še vrnem v Zahodne Julijce 😀 prelepi kraji!
Skozi tunele gre Pot Stoletnice :)
Your channel is incredibly interesting. How many time does it happens to you that you actually meet some random people on your sleepovers in the bivaks?
Thank you!
Well that depends how popular the area is, and what the weather/conditions are like…
Lately I almost never meet anyone during the week… maybe one or two if it’s a really nice day.
Sweet!
Thanks!
Really awesome adventure! Somehow your videos remind me of the famous TH-camr Shiey :) But he would climb without any rope :) Greetings from Carinthia!
Thank you brother!
Ohh man, I love watching Shiey!
But this climb is way too technical for him 🙂
@@andrazegart You‘re welcome! Yes, that‘s what I think too 🙂 You sure have a lot of experience in climbing 🧗
Great stuff 🙂👍
Thank you brother 🙏😊
@@andrazegart 👍
Hello! What kind of rope do you use for lead solo?
This time I didn’t rope sole. I used the rope only for rappeling, so I used a thin 30m rope.
But when I’m rope soloing I’m using a Sterling 70m, 9mm rope :)
O, si šel po Poti stoletnice :) ... zelo lepo in čudoviti konci 👏
Res so izjemno lepi kraji!
Se že veselim naslednjega obiska teh gora :)
@@andrazegart naslednjič pa naprej na Anito in pod Divjo kozo na Viš ;)
