I hope the check is in the mail from Battle Systems. I already own everything Core Space related but almost bought it again after watching this.

Always great to see your enthusiasm! Personally I think the terrain on the first Core Space box looked better than the one from the new kickstarter...

Thanks so much for the review, this just looks awesome, you convince me! This is what Fallout Wasteland Warfare should have been. Kudos to the Battle Systems team for also scratching the itch for a Mass Effect game. The expansion content looks great.

Perfect timing as I was checking out your old battle report video on this and then backed the new one.
I heard its Mass Effect x Borderlands, after seeing reviews and gameplay it's seems right up my street.
Happy to see some mods you gave done, clear bases and a game mat?

My battle report is fun to watch but we were a bit dodgy with the rules and made at least one big mistake. We still had fun though. :) And that game mat comes with the starter set!

Fantastic looking game. Exactly what I've been after in a miniatures game and best of all it's a Sci-Fi theme which I absolutely love. Years ago when Warhammer 40k 1st edition came out(yep don't say it.)The game was originally a focused skirmish game with more emphasis on the characters in my opinion. Over time it kind of evolved into an absolutely nuts game of who can fit the most miniatures on a table and blow one another away kind of game that's become WAY TO EXPENSIVE, more about amassing as many miniatures as you can quickly to outdo other players and that age old theme, endless war. Well to be honest the fun aspect for me personally is just not there anymore. In sharp contrast this game looks more like what I'm after. A bit of skirmish fighting but mixed in with adventure and varying goals. I'm really looking forward to getting the starter sets for this game and giving it a go. Love the instant 3D terrain, the idea of expandable sets and ongoing adventure as opposed to just never ending shoot outs. It's also terrific, that you have everything you need in the base set and can expand as and when your ready. That's superb. The layout of the board puts focus onto the game and it's certainly a massive level above say Space Hulk, which is an OK stand alone game but is the same theme when ever you play it. With this and all the amazing expansions, it really lifts it up a notch and makes it different each time you play it. No doubt you can setup that board in so many different ways. You could get someone else to connect it all up and have something completely different to what you even thought, making for great variation and new excitement. This is going right to the top of my game purchase list along with XIA: Legends Of A Drift System. I think what makes this game so many levels above other sci-fi miniatures games that have come out in recent years(a good example would be 'Infinity') is the completeness of the game where you don't need to go investing in more props and terrain, extra miniatures etc right away as it's all here in a great starter set. Infinity for me is certainly a much better, return to normality, sane Sci-Fi miniatures game and I'm glad it's doing well but for me the drama was finding others who would get into it like I would have, as that's the only real world way for you to play it. With Core Space, I'm pretty sure I could play it solo by not being biased about the foes when they take a turn. Looking forward.

Thought about picking up this game, but I just got so much other stuff on the go at the moment that I can't justify the purchase if it's just going to sit in the box. The solo play option is very tempting though. Maybe later! That being said, I have recently purchased some of their other terrain to use in Rangers of Shadow Deep / Mordheim. Cheers Peter!

Sorry about that. Like all things on my channel, it's my personal take on a game that I enjoy. I don't set out to create videos that carefully examine the pros and cons of games, as you could tell by the few numbers of reviews. The EOG is a channel and website that celebrates and supports the kind of games I love. There are plenty of review channels out there like the Dice Tower or whatever, I suggest you check one out. :)

Everything stores back into the box. The only thing you need to set up again is the walls. But all the furniture, machines, lockers etc. are a one time set up, and Battle systems have done a fantastic job at providing cardboard separators in the box so that every piece of the starter set can be stored inside the box.

The are 10 missions in the core game (including an entire 9 game campaign), and there are heaps more on the website. Then there's another campaign in the new Dangerous Days book, and more in the new First Born set. There's enough to keep you going for ages.
