It's nice that you and your mom share a love of fragrance. My adoptive mother was born in 1918 and I recall her wearing Passion and White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor, Nina Ricci L'Air du Temps and Blue Grass by Elizabeth Arden as well as White Shoulders. I still have a bottle of Passion that she gave me many, many years ago. She passed on in Nov 1999 so it's really "seasoned". I wonder if there is anything left in it, hmm. Will have to look for it. So happy you are sharing the love of Sal y Limon. I got it a couple years ago and wondered why I didnt hear anyone enjoyng it. It will be my third summer using it. I spray in the morning on hot days and then something else later but it is just such a nice pick me up to start the day when it is already 90 degrees out

Just ordered a decant of Sissa from Scentsplit the other night, it should be here in a couple of weeks, I can't wait! I am obsessed.. like obsessed! 😍 (For those who don't like Bianco latte, yes you still could love Sissa! ) 🙈🙊🤪 I had posted a YT short about my sample of Sissa when I was in Florida, and when I got home I compared it to Milk to see if that one could take Sissa's place on my wishlist.. but nope! I MUCH preferred Sissa 🥰🥰🥰 (maybe I have expensive tastes?) 😅 I absolutely love it but a decant will have to do for now! 😆😁❤

I love Andrea Maack. I have Solstice and it’s such a great watermelon fragrance, and I love it despite the marine accord. Other Maack frags I love: Ceramic, Pavillion, and which has metallic/Ice notes. EPC is definitely on my try list.
I haven’t sampled Solstice but it’s on my list to try now!

Sissa is on my wish list too! It’s so pretty. I just sampled Zoologist Rabbit and I can’t wait for the release. It’s my favorite from the house so far. I’m also playing around with a decant of Manos Gerakinis Imperial Malt, and it will most likely end up on the full bottle list also.
Yes I just ordered the entire set of Zoologist samples from the brand and I get Rabbit as well. But who am I kidding!?? That will be a full bottle for me!! I don’t even need to sample. 😂

A really great list I love Sugar Addict..the only BTSO full bottle I own! It's lovely in the winter. I found a Middle Eastern fragrance that reminds me of Sugar Addict, IMO. Afnan's Amberythme. I think it has the same kind of vibe. And the presentation is fire. And only 50€. Your description of Queen of Silk was so intriguing. Dark passionfruit. Ohhhhh...

I really like Dirty Rice and have almost bought it a couple of times but instead I’m waiting for LuckyScent to restock d’Annam White Rice. Have you heard of it? Excellent video Chris, so many scents to try....I have recently bought Tilia by Marc Antoine Barrois and I love it...Another hit by Quentin Bische, I have all the other 3 perfumes he made for this brand and I am not disappointed. Also, I could not resist a new one with coconut, brilliantly made by Cassa Morati, Quatro Pizzi. We have high temperatures now in Transilvania and it is beautiful. I invite you for coffee and cheesecake under my wisteria tree in full bloom, and I bet you will fall in love with her unique perfume! Big hug, you look absolutely gorgeous!!!

I have to pick up my Chanel 5 Leau and Aqua Di Gioia ( I get the dupe for that) and I’m finally going to spring for the real Soleil Blanc edp as I’m sick of the dupes…for spring summer But.. then I have to NOT buy anything else until September! 😅 I think ethically speaking? I have such a hard time spending over $200 to smell good ugh 😩 I realized it’s a hobby I can’t keep up with anymore so I narrowed it down to 10 perfumes I know I LOVE! And if I want to try something new? Sample or pre loved only….unless I win the lotto!

Hi Chris: The House of Sillage you reviewd today was a pass for me......passed it along to someone who loved it! Must have been the Oud which I have to be careful of and I found out eventually that I am not a raspberry scent girl in my fragrances. Strawberries and peach.....yes......raspberry....not so much. But my biggest delight was my blind buy from your review on Chloe Vanilla Planifolia...my first Quentin B. fragrance. This is so totally lovely.....year round......every day......everywhere scent. Thank you for your indepth and insightful review on this.....I love it! :)

I have a travel spray of Passion de L’Amour - I also appreciate it & find it in the the wearable, luxurious territory even with the appreciable oud note. And the presentation in the gorgeous enamel/metallic substantial bejeweled case 💎is unparalleled.

A bit out there, I also love a salt note, Salted Green Mango by Strangers Parfumerie is one of my all time favourites. Prin (the perfumer) most of his fragrances are full of notes and many are challenging, this to me is not, I mean it is chokka full of notes but it is exquisite.

YES! I love EM+ Patchouli - it’s what I use under Gris Dior. I’m not a fan of Gris Dior (on me it smells too old lady) but the SA at the Dior Boutique layered the Dior Privé Patchouki Elixir attar oil on my skin then sprayed Gris Dior over it and OMG it was amazing! But I’m not buying that teeny tiny bottle of oil for $600 and this has the same result but better because it enhances the longevity. I also layer it under other ones but this one is chef’s kiss!
I love Gris Dior, Chris got me hooked on these fragrances! It's a fragrance to wear year round, and so, so beautiful! I am sorry it didn't work for you, but many other beautiful fragrances in the collection to try.

I only bought the small 40ml bottle of Gris Dior so it’s not a big deal plus I own so many full bottles at this point that I’m at the place where I’m actually happy when I find one that doesn’t work for me. But my point of this post is only to share excitement about EM+Patchouli - it’s so good! - and giving a tip on a good match to try to pair with it. EM are boosters and primers.

In my wishlist I have Little Bianca from Mizensir, which is a citrus floral, it has a vintage cologne vibe but it smells still modern, this is what I imagine Bridget from Bridgerton to smell like ❤️ and Chantilly from Gritti and Apollonia from Xerjoff ❤️

Sartorial nuit was a blind buy for me I got it with lost in a dream to get a free shipping LOL. I like it much more than lost in a dream but it lacks in the performance department, I have to over spray to get half a day wear . It is a year round perfume and I"m glad I bought it with a 20% discount offer.

I don't get much iris from Iris Carmin, to be honest 😁 on my skin this is a beautiful amber scent with addition of neroli. Great stuff 👍 I need to put my nose on Sugar Addict, Ceramic and Sal Y Limon!

I tried Sal Y Limon last year and didnt find the longevity good at all, but it was when in London, I visited Bloom Perfumery and as always was on a mad dash around so my cities visits arent necessarily the best to go on vs decants and samples. Need to try again it seems!
But I did try it alongside Salted Green Mango by Strangers Parfumerie so that is pretty potent so maybe not a fair comparison again.
(I also tried Thé Basilic by Molinard and Sydney Rock Pool by Arquiste which I believe I heard about from you iirc).
Must try again! Thé Basilic and Salted Green Mango were perfect.
If it was you who liked Sydney Rock Pool, I am curious how you may like Ganymede by Marc-Antoine Barrois. I found SRP too masc leaning but I am *addicted* to Ganymede. I tried that one in a shop in Bristol called Shy Mimosa alongside Baptisma by Chapel Factory, so curious to hear what you think of Baptisma 🤞 that was the day before I went to London and I wasnt rushing as much so I get a better test of them.

Oh I just got Baptisma right before Easter and I love it!! I love Ganymede and plan on a FB. SRP I wore on a blazing hot day and over sprayed and I just couldn’t wear it again even though I agree it leaned masculine. My fav is still Architects Club

I have to tell you! I visited the EPC London store yesterday and I got a whiff of the new fragrance they are launching in May, Pistachio Haiku. You are going to love it I think 😍😍😍 I have it on a blotter and I cannot stop sniffing it. I visited there to try Sesame Tonka after hearing you rave about it, and I tried so many others I was curious about. I love the perfume meets alchemy approach. He was giving me blotters with 20% of Fig Neroli added to Sesame Tonka, then added a drop of something else and it wild, the transformations.
I hope you get to visit the store one day, IIRC it was something you mentioned you'd love to do. Its also in such a good area. Bloom Perfumery is right nearby, as are Diptyque and Guerlain boutiques.
Then you have Chinatown nearby for amazing food between you and Jovoy, Liberty London, Ffern and the Lush Oxford Street store which has a lot of perfumes other stores dont carry. They are all SO close.
If you ever visit London if you post about beforehand I and others will happily give you recommendations for food or things to do!
Sorry for the essay 😅 I did two metal gigs in London, and visited 8 London stores for perfume across 2.5 days.
Les Senteurs, Jo Loves, Harrods and Harvey Nichols are also very close to each other.

I am still waiting on my Zoologist animal and I don’t think it will be Penguin based on my memory of the smell of the penguin exhibit at the aquarium😂😂😂. Cute to look at, not so cute to smell. I wanted a vanilla I got the Burberry goddess well it’s lovely for FIVE mins 😢😢😂 sooo I was thinking of Celeste I think from the reviews yours too it’s still a vanilla perfume and has the airy and creamy vanilla, quality of BL but with violet ? Yes I had said in a separate video I didn’t get Goddess because of the terrible performance. I first tried Celeste in the summer and it was surprisingly delicious and appropriate!

Where did you get the EPC samples from??? I can't wait to try the house, but the shipping charges to where I am have kept me hesitant.
From EPC. I will say their shipping charges aren’t that bad for oversees. They carry a discovery set at Arielle Shoshanna but not all the samples are there.

I have a Bianco Latte on my list and just got the discovery set, so I will test all 12 fragrances in the upcoming weeks. I will see if I buy a full-size bottle of the Bianco Latte or another perfume. 😃
I recently bought a few new fragrances from my wishlist from Jomashop, and one of them came in used condition (I paid for a brand-new bottle). Long story short, the Jomashop customer service was not helpful, and I would not buy from them again. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Jomashop.
I’ve literally ordered hundreds of bottles from them & recently had a horrible experience when what I bought was similar but not the same as pictured & described. I had all kinds of solid evidence & they just fought me so I got my CC involved which I very much did not want to do. Here’s the thing..if everything goes as expected then they’re great because they have authentic frags at amazing prices, quality shipping (it takes a long time sometimes but usually you’re well aware you bought a fragrance that ships 1-2 weeks as noted) but if ANYTHING goes wrong the customer service is HORRIBLE. It’s a catch 22 & if my principles matched my overwhelming desire to get a deal, I would never shop there again. I’m definitely doing so WAY LESS.
