In this video, I take you along for a few days in the life of a public accountant (although there is not much accounting atuff happening this time). I also buy a MacBook Pro from the Apple Store in Amsterdam, the MediaMarkt in Zwolle and CoolBlue. Lastly, I got to meet up with one of my friends from high school who was here on holiday. Enjoy!

You have very interesting videos. I used to be an external audit manager, left it for a technical accouting role but now I have been thinking of getting into IT audit, how could I get started to make the switch?
Since you already have auditing experience, the IT-auditing skills can be acquired quite quickly in my opinion. I'd say find a job in IT-auditing and apply for it, the documentation of IT-audits is best learned on the job. Best of luck!

How easy is it getting into Audit Firms in your country?
If you have the right qualifications and attitude it will not be very difficult I believe.
How will a data science course be helpful to your accounting career? Are you switching?
Not at all: I am taking some courses to get a better grasp on cyber security which is becoming more and more relevant in our IT audits. I’m learning the basics now but the courses will become more cyber focused as time goes on.
