Typically it’s just tying 2-3 knots and cutting off any excess!

SoCheeryKemi Girl it was a perfect size. My mum was like get smaller I was like whose gonna take them out........ME. LOL. even this was a struggle to take out but I filmed it. 😂 Yeah I prefer yarn because it is good for ur hair some threads may snag ur hair and cause split ends 🙅🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

I’m having trouble trying to tie the end of it so it’ll stay
I literally had to tie the knot three times or more. And for some i used my lighter to burn the tip of the knot. This worked effortlessly.

How do you tie the end though?
I tied three knots to secure it in place. I hope that helps.

What kind of string can I use?
Gali Nokaneng I used just yarn. But you can use any string you have lying around. I remember someone using shoelaces so it's up to you 👍🏾. I hope it helps. 😂

Tie a knot around braid. Then wrap like you are wrapping a bandage around leg. At top she made sure the thread touched but not overlapped. Then she started wrapping where they did not touch. Then she looted at end.
