E gostei do reconhecimento dele pra grande jogada. Porque, depois de mais velho, ele ficou bem nervoso. rsrs Não sei se hoje ele aceitaria
@1:35:00 Most people think it was a lucky shot but you can clearly see Efren pointing at the 8 ball before he took the shot. It was a 2-way shot. If he missed his target it's gonna be a safety.
This was not lucky. It was intended, not accidental. It was the only solution, and it was carefully executed. It's been done before by many but not under those championship circumstances. Efren is that skilled as everyone knows, and it's naive of anyone to claim it to be just luck. If Earl had done it, who would call it a lucky shot? Like Earl said, McCready did it before. Someone in this post himself tried and achieved it, after 15 attempts.
I love the commentators saying how they're hoping for both players for the final rack, something interesting, etc. They had no idea what was about to come...
What a legendary match! Thanks Accu-stats for sharing this incredible piece of history. Efren what a beast. Strickland killed it too, but the magician will never be rivaled.
Coming from Earl, we know who is the GOAT. At 12-12, in a "one-miss-you-die" situation and shooting the "shot of the century", lucky were those who personally witnessed it. Cheers to Efren!
I've never heard Reyes say anything about jumping. He just talks with his kick shots. Maybe he has expressed his opinion on it, but I've not heard it, nor seen him jump. I'm with you on no jumping; it's a 2 dimensional game.
The 7 guided him a little on the kick, cause he had to miss the 7 short, however the speed and spin he used to actually come off the second rail and pot the 5. The guy kicked that shot and made on a hill hill match whilst getting perfect position. Would take about 30 attempts for any other player knowing the shot by watching this video, let alone doing this with limited time and on the fly. Efren was born to play pool.
Thanks for keeping this up, Pat! Truly one of the greatest matches ever recorded! I keep coming back to this again and again, and not just for the grand finale.
Yeah, Earl KNEW there was no coming back from that Z-shot. He didn't even make him shoot the 9, he was so amazed at that shot. Efren will be remembered for a long time as the GOAT but like Babe Ruth's called homer this one shot will define him long after he is gone. You get few chances to watch a generational sports personality but I'm glad I have had a few to marvel over like Jordan, Tiger, Earnhart, Brady and Efren--people who define their respective sports.
It's 2024, I watch this video over and over... and I'm not a billiard player. It's just like watching a movie !! That climax Z shot from Efren to win the tie match, just awesome !!
I’ve seen this clip of the Z shot so many times but this is my first time watching the whole match, and I gotta say that was one of the greatest matches I’ve ever seen. Literally movie like. It was a Close game up until the end and the “main character” just magically does wild clutch shenanigans to win the game lol. Amazing. Efren AND Strickland are legends for sure.
The sportmanship and appreciation of earl about that shot what makes it more amazing. Not too many players can do that. Now lets get this 2 great players ready and lets do color of money 2. A lot of people wants to see that for sure.
Earl went up a few notches in my mind. He is usually a cry baby. Efren made a great shot and Strickland knew it and acknowledged that fact when he made it. I was shocked. Then Earl gave him the nine to end the match for the World Championship in 9 ball. Then I waited to hear what Earl would say fully expecting to undo what he did with his mouth. Earl was a perfect gentleman. Which has changed my opinion of Earl as a man. We all know he is in the hat for GOAT. He has added a few points in my ticket. What a great match with perhaps the greatest shot I’ve ever seen especially at that time in the match. If he misses he loses. Thanks for posting this video. 👏👏👏

This was Hill-hill, finals, 2 of the best players the world have ever seen, and a shot to finish the match. All the recipes for that one last rack that will forever be etched in history as the one of the greatest ever!
It's fun listening to announcers who don't know the greatness of Reyes yet... thanks for making this gem available!
"I got lucky." -Efren Reyes
He sure gets lucky a lot😆
The more i practice the luckier i gets - Efren
Every pre-game tournament interview he gives is "I just need some luck today"
The only time I see Strickland clapping his hand shaking his head thinking how did he do that? Well, that is
why Efren is called a magician.
I love the commentators saying how they're hoping for both players for the final rack, something interesting, etc. They had no idea what was about to come...
I like how one of the commentators said “I never would have played it like that “, maybe that’s why you’re on the microphone and he’s on the table. 🤣
No one has a mind like Efren.
Most commentators were great players and champions at some point though.
@@donniethekhajiit5252 I agree 100%
I think Earl should have a mic during the match.
Exactly hahaha good one haha
What a legendary match! Thanks Accu-stats for sharing this incredible piece of history. Efren what a beast. Strickland killed it too, but the magician will never be rivaled.
So happy to watch this whole match instead of just the famous "z shot". Thank you for the upload
Thankyou accu stats " i thought this video wasnt uploaded here in youtube , but you made it ! really appreciated 🇵🇭
Hope you enjoyed it!
1:44:43 That probably will go down is one of the greatest shot that I think I've ever seen --- Earl "the pearl" Strickland
Thank you for this Accu-Stats!!! Very very very much appreciated!!! :-)
My pleasure!
A match for the ages to be sure. It's always fun to rewatch and relive this legendary match between two legendary players.
Greatness personified by both Competitor's.
A movie couldn't write a better script then this, phenomenal match of these two legends 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
100%
Never gets old I watch this over and over just love both those guys what a game
Still one of the best matches, ever!
Coming from Earl, we know who is the GOAT. At 12-12, in a "one-miss-you-die" situation and shooting the "shot of the century", lucky were those who personally witnessed it. Cheers to Efren!
Wow..the whole match with good vid quality
Glad you liked it
In Ten Years time there will be a major International Tournament, it will be called The Efren Reyes Cup. No.1 rule: No Jumping.
I've never heard Reyes say anything about jumping. He just talks with his kick shots.
Maybe he has expressed his opinion on it, but I've not heard it, nor seen him jump.
I'm with you on no jumping; it's a 2 dimensional game.
@@whetedge I watched match, where Efren use jump cue :D
Efren use jump cue when he againts oliver ortmann
@@Harry-ks7gx he only tested it once. And he didnt like it. For Filipino players its cheating.
@@mikeserrano734 I interviewed him. His comment was basically that he didn't know how to jump shot so he doesn't.
Thanks for this video. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Just Wow! It never gets old.
i love watching these vids. just found out like this week. relaxing, satisfying, impressive
1:36:40 greatest shot of all time.
After one of the greatest shots in pool history , a great match victory for Efren Reyes .
Reyes is always calm and have no pressure when you see him he always smile and enjoy the games
Rempe's commentary is amazing.
I agree whole heartedly.
I keep watching it all the time!! It's just awesome!!
Ông mãi là một Huyền Thoại. Respect ❤️
Thank you Efren for the MAGICAL moments you shared to us in the billiard tables. In my book YOU are the GOAT of Billiards.
