- We are building our own house in Norway!
In 2018 we bought a plot in Oslo and we are now building our house. Since we are both architects we have designed everything ourselves.

Really enjoyed the video. The excitement of purchasing your first house is always great, but designing it yourself and having it custom built is awesome. You have a lot to be proud of. The cost is around double to build a house in a typical middle class neighborhood in the USA. Loved your excitement!

Companies who have alot of jobs stacked up will give u a overprised offer since they dont really have time. but if u agree the price they are ofc gonna do it and they make bank :)

May I ask, do you have more details about how you found your plot? I assume that the owners hadn't listed them for sale, so how did you know they were available.

Is it allowed to OWNERS to build their own house on their plot? (I mean, with NO CONTRACTORS, everything from scratch by their own).

Hello! I am so happy that you are making it! Congrats! I have a question about bank loans, Is it necessary to have a credit card and credit history to ask for a loan in the bank in Norway? What are the usual requirements?
Hey! It is necessary to show all your credit card history. They will check everything from credit, salary, other loans, taxes, if you have other expenses like a car or kids, before they give you a loan or not. But I am not sure if you are obligated to have a credit card (if that was your question)
