Your wife is getting very good at filming. The panning was very smooth as was the steadiness in her hands. I really enjoyed the floaty "in close" flying as it really brought the personality of the plane out. Thanks again

My father was model plane builder back in the sixties. He built gliders from scratch, he also made his own collapsible hinged propellers from balsa wood that were attached to along sliced strands of inner tubes which ran through the body. He fashioned a crank to slide over the prop to wind it up.

John, your videos are inspirational. So fascinating to see your works bobbing and wheeling right in our faces. That thing floating at 3 or 400 hundred feet would be a marvel for sure. But in close (as you and your great camera gal deliver) really shows the beauty of slow and graceful wind dancing. Thanks!

John & Mrs Woodfield, your wonderful flying and amazing videoing have significantly helped rekindle a long-lost pleasure in silent flight. A Middle Phase Primary is now in build. I am sure you can zip around the sky at 100mph any time you wish but the low, slow and total control is so inspiring. Thank you both so much for the time and effort you put in to sharing this with us, and inspiring us, 😘

R/C can be relaxing also...Its just when you see these "3D hounds" trying to rip a plane to shreds , then , it becomes stressful....When I flew 7 yrs ago...I had my routine...I flew at 10 minutes intervals....Nota "feild hawg"....It was very relaxing and I did all my manuevers like a "Air show"...Next flytes after my 3 , was to practice new stunts.....I had big fun.....If you dont over complicate your models and flytes, you will come away feelin' very sooth and mellow....

Such huge dihedral there.. and you would sorta think that the lift would slip off into space .. and then.. it settles into that bucket. Magic. The lifting tail is always going to make perceived balance point go forward. Only way to calculate that is to just throw it a few times and add forward until she cruises.. I love the non-science method.
