Does it allows amy other feature for the camera like longer clip lenth or anything? In my ap under camera settings there is an extension part of the menu and when you click it says "longer clip length" "higher quality video" But reviews say still same quality video and still capped at 60s clip length Do you have to add it with the QR code like you do with the camera itself?
They have a 13ft outdoor cable and power supply but I personally don't know much about it. There are solar panel with battery pack combo that you could definitely use
@ thank you ! I needed up taking the battery extension off and hardwired it. Let the original two batteries incase power goes out. I called blink and they said they was okay.
Should of told the audience that no other accessories could be used with the expansion pack. The flood light package can not be used with the expansion pack.
All of the other accessories that use the standard friction mount (including the spotlight) can be used with the extension pack. If you're using the floodlight kit with the solar panel you don't even need the extension pack for power.
It all depends on the settings. If you set it for the highest resolution, with the longest clip length, with motion tracking on in a very busy area, you'll get a shorter life out of the batteries. If you moderate those settings, you can easily get 2 years out of the batteries. I have 8 of these and for the ones where I have high traffic, I use a solar panel and the others last about 2 years on average.
Appreciate your videos I’m new to blink and they get such a bad wrap I don’t understand as they have been good for me so far and super easy to put in.
I’ve used the for years and they work well. Some folks just like to complain but if you understand what they provide, they’re pretty great.

So with the extended battery, does the original batteries still have to be used that go to the camera?
Great review! Nicely done sir.

whats going on with the low resolution?
It takes a few minutes for TH-cam to process the 4K version so give it 20 minutes and it will be crystal clear.
How do you hang it up if it does not fit the protective housing that attaches to the mount?
