    I like the idea where people attach a duck decoy to the aerator to make finding and maintaining it easy.

    You know the installer is supremely confident when he buries the duct and even reseeds before pushing the hose down the duct. Nice job.

    Well done Kyle. I've had a pond for 25 years and you're definitely on the right track. Aerators make a significant difference. If you add a product called Muck Away from The Pond Guy it will eliminate literally all the muck build up on the pond bottom and shore line. Excellent video!

    Yes, the aerator is aerating perfectly. I have a stone diffuser about 16 years old and not the diffuser that comes with the pump. I wonder if that’s the issue the hose is not blocked and the valve at the pump is wide-open.

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC
      @SpicerDesignsLLC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Ill bet it is. That pump that i have can do up to two aerators. It could potentially blow the air line off the stone in the water. Those stones are typically used with a lower cfm compressor I believe.

    Good stuff. I just ordered a new pump from Vevor as my diaphragm pump takes much maintenence and I'm ready to try something new.
    I use a pet carrier crate for mounting my pump. Keeps it dry and allows for good air movement. Where in Indiana are you, I'm in the Louisville, KY area.

    That would have been a perfect job for a pressure washer. Start at the pond, work your way up the hill. You'd have a ditch as deep as you want, and it'd be about 3 inches wide.

  • @DailyDose2Inspire

    Interesting location for the pump. You lose a ton of CFM per 50 ft of airline from the pump. By time it reaches the diffuser stone I'd guess you're about half the CFM rating of the pump. Looks clean though, *edit - I just realized from the aerial view, the ponds not that big. You should be fine for one stone. I had to run two pumps to get my stones out 200 ft. It was a pain in the butt..lol

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC
      @SpicerDesignsLLC  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Ya it pumps pretty good. Mines not a stone though. Its like a membrane style diffuser.

  • @claytonreed5291
    @claytonreed5291 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Great video as always. Since it looks like the pump is pushing plenty of air would it be possible to "T" the air line and add more aerators? Maybe that would make the system more efficient. Also to hold the rope to the aerators you could tie it to a duck or goose decoy and let them float around the pond. Keep up the good work enjoy all youe videos.

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC
      @SpicerDesignsLLC  ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC
      @SpicerDesignsLLC  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I know they have setups designed to be powered by solar or wind. The one i used is a 3/4 hp motor. You would probably need a pretty decent solar or wind setup to power it. Ill have to check if Vevor offers anything like that.

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC

      Because its 50’ away from a power source and the solar setups dont have nearly the output.
