      Exactly, has just been reported on the news this morning that Britain is second biggest arms exporter in the world, is totally shameful, aeroplanes could be used for dropping seedlings and saplings instead of bombs. I highly recommend people take full control and responsibility of their pensions and sell their shares in the evil and destructive arms industry and invest in ecology, forestry, sanitation, water, renewables, eliminating poverty etc.

      Am on it, planted fruit trees all around where I live and I don't even have a garden, spread the word, will increase the amount of free food available, reduce packaging and air miles, improve people s diet, what is there not to like , err someone will probably moan about a few wasps eating the apples. Also be great to restore wild flower meadows to encourage the pollinators and insects who's numbers are down. Aeroplanes can be used to drop seeds and or saplings(would need a design feature to penetrate the ground) to speed up the process.

      There are numerous efforts around the world that use a variety of methods to help with afforestation and greening deserts. Many of these are individuals doing it without incentives from governments. Some of these efforts use permaculture principles (more of a closed system approach) and rotation methods (nutrient cycling and seasonal approach). But the goal is clear and that is the transform a piece of terrain into an area of abundant flora and fauna species.

In a word, regulation. Regulation wrought of expansive government. What should be said is that government should be confined. The individuals within government who seek to promote expanding regulation, is they who should bare our scorn.

    This man is a hero and a leader for humanity. If we can humble ourselves to follow such leadership, we may yet turn around the destruction we are causing to the fertility and viability of life for humans on Earth. We have stripped the earth of her green cover. Trees are the lungs of the Earth. They hold the soil in place and create habitat for so much life. We must follow this man and people like him to stabilize the weather and hydrological cycles on Earth, and to reverse the desertification that is rapidly spreading across the Earth.

    • @smb123211
      @smb123211 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Carole - Deserts rise because of mountain location and air circulation - not from human activity. Desertification can partially be blamed on humans with the loss of grazing animals that that leave manure, trample the ground, spread seed and build a fertile base. Deserts affect weather very little.

    I've been reading and a lot of people say "we need people like him" but I don't see them saying "I will do at least something". As to depending on people who have a "lot of free time", get real. people like him and me, (read what I'm doing also, an old woman thousands of miles away) have VERY little of free time because we are working alone and seeds don't plant themselves and plants and trees need care when they are first planted. A few people helping, at least a few hours would be welcomed by him and me.

      HA, exactly! Wishful dreams. I am a single 70 year old woman farmer. Just two acres but that two acres I have been working on 8-10 hours a day for 15 years. Sometimes I think "I can't do this". Then God gives me more Strength.....and on I go. I now have 40 nut and fruit trees, a lot of hydroponic vegetables and fruits. When I look out over my desert property where there was once just scrub brush is now a small desert oasis. God is Good.
      A small story though. I tried over and over to have what I call interns here. They come with bright faces and have absolutely no clue, no idea how much work this takes. There are no sick days. The work goes on no matter what. And over the years they came and went and I realized I was spending more time trying to teach them basic facts of life let alone how to be a successful farmer. Plus there was not the Harmony I was used to when I did this alone. So I don't do that anymore. I do it alone. I scaled back a little, but Harmony and Peace are restored.

    Really enjoyed the video. I'm an old person (73 now). 15 years ago I move into a property that was all planted with lawn (useless grass that is hard to get rid of and animals or insects don't eat). I asked permission from my town and they gave it to me. Today, it is a small forest full of birds, butterflies, beneficial insect, small animals, with many kinds of fruits and wild edibles, sitting in the middle of an entire town of useless lawns. It took me 14 years, but I am very proud and happy with what it is now. There are flowers, of many colors, everywhere right now and native bees pollinating them and the fruits.
