I work with an organization where the number one person in that organization happen to be a Benin man, next to him in that position is an Etsako person and the sixth person in the organizational chat is from Esan. Now what surprises me about this people is that they watch each others back because they see themselves as one. Most especially the one from etsako. U know what, the company sacked the benin man for some certain reasons, u know what shocked me the etsako man who automatically should be the next boss, rejected the promotion letter and said he did not like the way his brother was sacked. He gave them a condition it is either they call his brother back that's the benin man or the position reman vacant and if possible he will tender his resignation letter. He actually knows his worth in that organization. The company had no choice than to call the benin man back and give him his job. And after working for few months decided to resign on his own. Whati are mine trying to say being kind, being wicked has nothing to do with ethnicity. Or don't u have bad people im benin or even among the yorubas where I'm from? Off course there is.. but It will be absolutely wrong for me to generalized that all the benin or yoruba people are wicked... So pls your analysis is wrong. The last time I check history, both the esan, etsako and akoko all originated from Benin. So why this ethnic attack and insult. Seun the focus on your discussion should be whether or not Obaseki is right to say Shaibu is impersonating while he is acting on a court order. Asking Shaibu about what happened while there was no crisis with Obaseki, he also could be asked the same question. As a journalist you should be able to provide a definition of what impersonation means so that the audience listening to your broadcast can determine who is right and wrong. The guest clearly stated the difference between stay of execution and application for stay of execution. Application for stay of execution does not come with automatic approval hence the hearing date set for next month. Meanwhile, Shaibu as a law abiding citizen has to honor the court order of reinstatement until the stay of execution application is approved. If at all any law is being broken in this instance it will be on Obaseki who is running the state with two Deputy Governors. At the end only one previous Deputy governor will be on record after the elections coming up next month. The court has ordered Shaibu's salary to be back paid while Obaseki is paying someone else also as Deputy Governor who may be asked to refund all his pay after the dust settles down and a new governor takes over from Obaseki. Seun listening to all Shaibu has to say as to how Obaseki was picked as the candidate for the governorship all that happened between Shaibu and his former governor of the state for the sake of Obaseki, it is obvious someone was an ingrate in this case. It was within Shaibu's constitutional right and democratic right for Shaibu to express interest in the governorship position and regardless of how Obaseki felt about it, the subsequent public treatment and humiliation by Obaseki was pure wickedness. Very soon both the Governor and his deputy will be out while the relationship between the two might be worse.
