Man! you changed my mine. I was about to buy a 2014 but you are showing some major upgrades specially CVT and responsiveness. Thank you wonderful person; you have helped me.
Awesome job on the video as usual! You're one of the few guys at any dealership that seems to be more knowledgeable than the average Honda representative. It's always funny to go to a dealer only to end up knowing way more than my sales person does about these vehicles. lol
I walked into a Local Honda dealer on Long Island , just looking at the 2015 CRV , Just looking...I have my 2010 CRV EX with me.....3 hours later I am driving a new 2015 CRV EX .......It's a whole different car to me from the 2010.....The changes made move the EX up 2 classes from the 2010.....Great tranny , the right amount of torque , makes a whole bunch of difference......Every word from the video was Right On....The Blind Spot Camera WOW feel much safer because I can see a lot more .... Try It youll Like It....
I've had my 2015 CR-V EX for about 300 miles and haven't seen 23mpg of mixed driving. USA today had the same issue with their test vehicle. I've been around 21-22mpg mixed.
Loved this comparison.. although I cannot buy one from you - you just concreted my decision and more importantly my wife's. :). Picking up a used on (44k Kms). :). Good job.
Hey Edward, Great review as usual. I am looking for a new car and you have almost convinced me that the 2015 CRV is what I need. I just have a small question I did not check, does it have a AUX port?
Really great review and comparison of the two years. You helped me make up my mind as to which one I want -- and that is the 2015 by the way. You are one great salesperson. Honda is very lucky to have you.
Vibration issue of Honda CRV LX AWD 2015: ==================================================================== I have brought a Brand New Honda 2015 CRV AWD LX Model from one of the Honda dealer in NJ.From the day one, i noticed some vibration on the front seats of the car when i am at the STOP sign/signal with car is in the drive mode (D) with my foot on the brake paddle. The vibration is random and not always but can be feel at the back of your body and it is very strong sometime that as a driver you get distracted and feel very uncomfortable while driving. If you have to are stuck in some traffic jam and have to stop longer then the vibration on both the front seat is quite noticing and causes irritation on the back and you cannot sit for long in while the seats vibrating. When I reported the incident to Honda Car Dealer...... ========================================================== As soon as I notice the issue with my car then I quick to reported to the sales person who sold me this car. Initially I thought that the problem could be with my car only so I went to the dealer and able to duplicate the problem and showed it to their technician on 24th NOv 14.The technician took the vehicle for test drive and called me after an hour to share his conclusion. Dealer took another brand new 2015 honda CRV LX AWD, stood in front of my car and showed me that this vehical also have the similar issue like yours.I was quite surprised to see the same vibration in another vehicle. Based on the test drive and comparating my car with other New 2015 Models , the dealer concluded that this problem is there in all new honda crv 2015.They told me they are helpless and cannot do anything and asked me to contact American Honda as this is coming with all similar models .He gave me service sheet and mentioned everything on it. He was not sure but said it could be software issue . He indicated that the TECHOMETER that shows the RPM value is from where the problem is occurring. When the issue occurs in the car due to stop state the RPM on the technometer has less value as compare to when the issue does not occur. The RPM value on the tachometer is “0.6” when the vibration DOES OCCUR and the RPM value on the technometer is “0.9” when the issue DOES NOT occur. This variation could be due to direct injection technology. The dealer indicated to me that this could be due to the new CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) Transmission engine in new CRV’s of Honda. When I reported to the Manufacturer American Honda..... ======================================================== I called American Honda(not one time but several times), they gave me the case number and told me to go to the dealer to fix the issue. I told them that i went to the dealer and they find the issue in the vehicle. I got a call from some Mr Mohammad(case manager) who represented himself as RM for NJ area.Without doing anything he closed my case#N012014-11-1902878, i called again and asked them to open the case. Mr Mohammed called me again and told me that this is one of the characteristic of HOnda CRV(vibration issue) , i mean he told vibration is a designed functionally and i have to live with this like all other users are living. I told him that my driving get distracted and i feel a sense of discomfort. He said he cannot help . I asked him to escalate but he said, we don’t have any escalation level and i am the only one with whom you can talk. I said to provide the email or phone of management so as to talk to them but he did not provide me the information and CLOSED my case without my consensus and said we are helpless. i called again to reopen the case , same Mr Mohammed called me again and without listening to me he closed the case again and washed off his hand from the issue. Unfortunately the manufacturer is not ready to listen to my problem and i am very sad and frustrated the way my case was handled by American honda.I have never expected such type of attitude of American Honda where they want to push the matter under the carpet , in spite of appreciating the positive feedback from its customer. When I reported to the Honda Headoffice in Tokyo: ======================================= I wrote a letter and reported to their headoffice in Tokyo but they turned blind eye and did not help me .
Wow....thank you so much for this review!! I just purchased this vehicle on Saturday 7/22/23 and definitely wanted to learn more about it's features and your video made my morning❤…..it was just what I needed so that could fully exhale a sigh of relief. Ohh, I definitely wanted a CD player.....call me old_school... I don't care😂Again...thank you.😊👌🏾💯
Awesome review ET. I want one for my family! That's a really nice Honda!. Thanks for putting this together, I'm sold. Too bad I'm too far away from your dealer.
Thank you very much for an almost thorough review. I've watched many vids on the 2015 CRV. Yours is one of the best. Please tell me that it rides better and quieter so I wait until they arrive at a dealership near me. My only gribes with the CRV, and with Hondas in general, are the grainy, crispy ride, and the noise level on the highway. Tell me that they have been addressed please. Unless of course they have not.
Honda added more sound deadening material, so it is definitely quieter. The CVT is smoother than its old 5 speed AT. If i'm on the market for a CUV, this is definitely on my top choice. The Rogue is also quite nice, but it's slower off the line than the CR-V.
Jaffar Abdul Baqi you should go to your local Honda dealership and check it out yourself. If your demand is too high, get a luxury car from Lexus, Audi, BMW, etc...Honda/Toyota is probably not for you. Why do people demand so much for a CUV under $30k. You get what you pay for!
not much of a comparison you did good at the start with the exterior and interior then you just went all about the 2015 crv and excluded what engine was and looked like on 2014 and performance issues, timing chain or belt?, headlight is LED on 2015, eco mode etc not sure what kind of comparison this was
Honda needs to fix the things that break or come loose before 100K: Suspension is not durable, Loud rattles and sounds within cabin due to crv driving on bumpy roads. Squeaks in the steering and seal leaks in the axle. All too common. Car looks great and at first runs great. However breakdown starts after 25k miles and based on how you drive it. I have owned Honda CRVs since 2002. The 2002 model was their best generation. Buyers beware.
Im a new immigrant here in the US. Just arrived here 3months ago. Im planning to have this 2015 honda crv. No credit history yet and i'm planning my aunt to be my co-maker. So how much will be my Minimum DP. Anyone can help me out. 👨

Another fantastic video Ed!
Thanks TIM!
I have the 2016 AWD 2.4l vtec base model. It's running great. Peppy for the size. I haven't hit vtec yet. Saving it for emergencies.
the 2014 looks 500% better in every way
2014 is better runs with a classic reliable k24 engine with 5 speed auto transmission.. Comparison with cvt gearbox for 2015 that im not a fan of.
Great review man
Keep it up

Same for me, i was going to buy it and indeed i heard abt this problem and you confirmed it
Is there much difference between 2014 vs. 2015 LX model?
Turn signal indicator should be on mirrors on all models. After all it is a safety feature.

Can you explain how to add the navigation feature that you mentioned on the Ex model

LEDs are no longer a premium look. Everyone is doing it and they aren't doing it right, just looks tacky.
They look particularly odd when used as DRLs and one side turns off when the turn signal is engaged. Bleh.
1MTEK The only ones imho that look premium are the ones who did it first, BMW and Audi.
