Its a shame this track cant be run anymore, given the right conditions it coulda been one of the best tracks of the year. Its like the classic shots from On Any Sunday. Holding it wide open on this track separated men from boys.

WOW! Giant Speedway. Being a Brit I've always wondered why the states hasn't got any European sized tracks with local teams competing. I'm sure you'd love it.
Of course i love flat track but speedway is addicting .it is the coolist racing there is. I am really surprised it dont get the attention it deserves here in the states. Long track, grass track, side car grass track , and GP love it all.
Once you graduate from speedway and get on a real motorcycle, the tracks range from 1/8 to a mile. While speedway looks cool, I've never seen a speedway bike come close to beating a flat tracker. Go ahead and ask me how I know.
motorbikes Because back then they didn't use water cool because it made the bikes heavier with more to go wrong while racing on dirt, bikes now use a lot of light weight special alloys & frames to compensate for that unlike back in the day when factory & private racers couldn't afford those magic metals to reduce the bike weight like now granted they had some trick light weight stuff but nothing like they have now or the power difference like they have now !
Hey Boba Defett, we were pretty limited with the cameras we could use to broadcast live over the internet, and we had almost no budget. I have to give all the credit to the Bob Bellino, the promoter of the race. He believed, if Flat Track was going to grow, it needed to reach beyond the people watching in the stands, and was willing to put his own money behind it. The fact that we even pulled it off was a miracle. A live internet broadcast had been done a few times before in 2007ish, I believe, but this was the first time in along time. We put together some local guys with similar equipment, a couple cameras were pretty dated, so it does make it look like vintage which, looking back at it now, is cool I think. They were the right camera's for the right price, and the network infrastructure that was in place at that track....think horse racing/betting, all ancient, standard def, analog cables and switchboard.

I want a Astro but cannot find a bike or Project
Where's the fans!?????
Why most of flat tracker bike doesn't use front disk brake?
Haryo Dwipo They don’t use the brake ever. Brakes in oval track will get you hurt.
It would make you slow down.
Front brakes are NOT legal on the Mile/Half-Mile races. They ARE allowed in TT races, which have at least one jump and one right hand turn.
750cc motorcycle in the dirt bike track be fun
Just don't crash and risk an injury.
About the some speed I drvier in the mountains
Go back to school.
When the green flag drops the bullshit stops
Laju ke?
They don’t run Santa Rosa anymore because to many riders got killed
I'm glad to see harly Davidson returning to flat track racing.
It was an XR750,they have been winning in Flatrack since 1972,they havent left.
