    I've listened to this occasionally every now and then for the last decade.
    I remember as a teen being on my laptop in the wee hours of the morning, talking to an internet friend about all kinds of deep/personal stuff while this played in the background. My most distinct memory was a cold February night, and I was tucked up in bed with my window open ever so slightly, with light snowfall outside as this song played.
    It's a perfect happy place for me to visualise whenever things aren't going so well.

    Sometimes slowing things down 800% is like peering into a single droplet of pond water. What you find is teeming with otherwise unseen life of microorganisms from the microcosm. This is how I feel about this resulted ambient track. An auditory fractal of endless harmony.

    Loneliness surrounded by beauty.
    Surely that is the meaning of life. It how we choose to embrace that beauty that truly matters.

    this feels like place in between the seconds of our lives...the moment you caught each others eyes and time felt as though it stood still for a moment. you could call that moment back anytime, and live in it for eternity.

    I started writing a story a few months back, and I just re-opened it after not working on it for a while. As I looked through the chapter, I noticed that I had stopped, and that I needed to finish the chapter...
    I felt sad... I couldn't think of what else to write, but I had worked so hard in the past. I couldn't just let the story fade away and end!
    I had listened to this song, however, as well as some other ambient tracks. Now I am almost done writing the chapter, and I feel so heart-warmed and touched from how beautiful this song is. It truly fills me with awe and inspiration!

    Listening to this piece of music is a great practice for patience and mindfulness.
    When was the last time you reminded yourself to stop rushing? When was the last time you paid attention to those hand movements of yours, the steps you take, and your breathing? We are hurrying through life to get from point A to B, to C, all the way until we finally reach Z - and then it will feel as if it all went by way too fast. If anything, it's because we don't notice all the little things; when this is what our lives are made up of. The moment we teach our brains to register every second as the most valuable moment we have, we truly learn to make the best of it.

      No illusion, my freind there is a great reality out there that is hidden from you, if you felt/saw it you would see that this entire world with all its beauty and pleasures is nothing in comparison to what is ahead. This reality we see is the equivalent to a earth worm in the dark wet mud underground compared to an eagle soaring through the pure air in the mountains of Switzerland.
      The difference between the 2 realities is more greater than that X by 10,000.
      If you was there and you saw a rose of that realm, you would be immersed and lost in its sheer beauty for 300 years of earth time just mesmerized. What ever you focus on over there yoi feel taste become part of it. Not just see it.

    That's why. Because I put a song into a shitty program and then uploaded it... and then 95% of comments are about 'thank you', 'it helped a lot' or 'ça rend vachement bien'. I didn't expect that and I am happy, just thankful for the feedback. Don't see it so selfish, I have no merit, Thomas Newman has, because is one of the best. And if the exact meaning of the word is the problem, I don't even speak english (I'm from Spain - Europe). Try to relativize, my intentions are humble and peaceful :)

    I played this when I was going to bed the other night.. I think it was on the 8-9min mark when I fell into sleep.. Well, somewhere in the middle of the song.. And the sleep, the dreams were one of the best ever.. They were happy, flowing, smooth dreams of happiness. I smiled right before I drifted to sleep, it was beautiful. I was at peace for that small moment and during the sleep..
    Thank you.

    To me the sad thing about feeling loneliness is that I feel that I have so much love to give and take, which is a warm and desperate feeling, and all that love is something to be shared with somebody, because happiness was meant to be shared together. And that feeling is precisely what this music and picture advocates on me. Well sadly done.

    This is beautiful.... I listen to the original quite a lot and to hear it slowed down like this really changes the experience. To hear every single nuance and note treated in such a way.... it completely changes your perspective. The timbre of the instruments are transformed from the standard percussive sounds to a haunting organ like tone colour. What you have done has just transformed this piece for me, not necessarily made it better, but different. Thank you sir. Thank you very much.

    This makes me think about my existence, 13 billion years ago our universe was being made by a sudden explosion with un imaginable power creating the universe. Who was there who can see that? Nobody, this universe doesn't need us it doesn't need an spectator like us, it just exist for no reason. It doesn't need life to observe it. Imagine if the universe didn't had life, the universe would be nothing because nobody would be there to say what it is. What if we were all an accident? We are not suppose to exist, life can't exist but for some reason it did. The universe was suppose to be a giant place were nobody is suppose to see. It just existed for no reason and it will be there....... Forever

    For me, this picture was transformed when I spotted what looks like a solitary man to the right hand side of the tree. It turned the picture from an ideal image of calm and peace to an image of loneliness. A loneliness emphasised so by the beauty that surrounds it. But hey it's just an individual interpretation. This song is awesome by the way.

    I almost see a man and a small women or child embracing each other. They embrace in a way that clues that they have been separated by a situation not in their hands, and are now reunited for the first time in what seems like an eternity in their minds. As they grasp each other with the wind gently flowing around them awakening a sea of wild flowers time seems to slow as their hearts rediscover themselves from the drawn out heartache that has pained them for so long.

    If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too:
    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
    Or being hated don't give way to hating,
    And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise...

  • @TheLastWanderingBard
    @TheLastWanderingBard 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's a nice interpretation. I suppose in that case the beautiful scenery fits the uplifting emotional reunion, but at the same time the vastness of the landscape emphasizes the separation and the drawn out heartache as you say.

    The body-mind is merely a sensing device. Our true nature is that of a no-thing, without parts or qualities. Infinite. Since we are not objects we cannot feel our own existence, thus the world as we know it came into being and we identified ourselves with a specific body-mind in order to feel, to know, to have a taste of everything because in essence we are no-thing.

  • @TheLastWanderingBard
    @TheLastWanderingBard 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh for sure it could be that as well. Like I said it's just one of many potential interpretations. However, I do like how despite the obviously beautiful scenery around the man, how he is actually feeling is still uncertain. Just goes to show that how one truly feels is often not a matter concerned with the world that surrounds him.
