I can't believe how dirty they've done the croco-dragon. Tri flagship, wonderful underwater fight, great weapon designs, all around spectacular monster. Oh, looks like the MH-MHDos-P3rd hunters didn't like water combat. Nevermind that they spent their time fiddling RS to attack or claw fingered the PSP, three dimensions and weapon attack alterations? That's too much for the OG Gigabrained hunters. Well, let's just remove water for 4U and try something like... aerial. Now we're going into gen 6, and the devs are still so traumatized from the response to water combat that it hasn't returned. With what they know now from World's less punishing weapons, Rise's wirebug systems (goated) and with Wilds bringing timed counters to every weapon, I think it's time we all sit down and agree on a simple fact - water can easily return, improved, fun and simple. Kind of how it was implemented the first time. Cheeky cheeky, but I beat Ceadeus with a greatsword at 10, and my friend beat him enough times with SwAxe to craft the full set. Maybe water combat was never bad, gamers... maybe we were. Well, excluding me. LOL. Modern MH can and absolutely should bring back the water. The ecology was better. The maps were freer. The monsters stuck in Gen 3 are some of the best designs out there, and it's a travesty we haven't seen them at World quality. Water doesn't need to be slower anymore either - we've already accepted that Joe Wilds can facetank a monster and reverse the attack with two knives. Not too far to say 'What about wirebugs, but... WATER?' So why not? Capcom can handle it, run a beta and get player feedback like they're doing right now for Wilds. Frankly the water maps of Tri are still some of the most aesthetically pleasing experiences MH had. Water is a fact of life and a huge, massive part of ecology. There's still a bounty of monster designs to spring forth (heh) with hydrodynamics in mind, and new age hunters can finally experience the musical majesty of Moonquake. It'd be amazing to see the sea make a return for the Rise to MH:Wilds, but... I'm not holding my breath.
I really hope Gammoth comes back, she really deserves it. Also seeing the mhgu gameplay in the background really makes me want corkscrew jab to come back to, such a cool move. Anyway, great video
As much as I love Laguacrus, I do not want it to return unless underwater combat returns with it. I always felt like he'd been kinda handicapped when the mechanic was removed after 3U, like half of what made fighting him fun was taken away. Underwater combat needs to return so that not only can new life be brought back into Lagiacrus, but for every other new and old aquatic monster as well. Imagine what they could do with monsters like Zamtrios, Namielle, and Uth Duna if we were allowed to fight them under the water.
@NovaBushido Ivory is due for a glow up, it would be a good time for them really give him something to differentiate Ivory from regular Lagi, and not butcher Ivory's moveset for regular Lagi again.
Piano astalos theme is sick. Literally just started the video like a second ago and just wanted to say that. By any chance are there piano versions of the other fated four that you have links to?
Ignoring leaks it wouldn't make any sense for lagi to not be in wilds for a lot of reasons. 1: they wanted it in world. 2: uth and bala are proof the leviathan rig is completely functional now. 3:all the announced returning monsters are ones that didn't make it into gen 5. 4: kirin got into world because the devs wanted to see what it's armor would look like in higher graphics so why wouldn't they add something they wanted in gen 5 and a good chunk of the community wants to see back?
Summery of that other video, to save time, "pack monsters/herd monsters, same difference." LMAO, nope. The point of packs, that we have in the game with congalala, is small monsters that are commanded by a large monster. Herd are something new, where even the minions are large monsters. These 2 similar but very different concepts. Not saying those monsters coming back would be a bad thing but it's not the same. Ah yes, ecology and monsters' character. Developer: "But no basarios." "Gravios's character is papa basarios, they've never been apart for our team's games. Ecologically, having only one makes no se-" Tokuda: "Shh." Developer: "So kut ku... Conchu, yeah?" Tokuda: "I said SHH!" We have 2 fire birds but, for the expansion, we need qurupeco. Him summoning herds of monsters just fits too well in this game. I guess Hugh Jackman fans would consider nergi hansom. Dude's just the Wolverine dragon. Last Of Us fans might have thought blackevale was hansom. It's not a mistake. Rathalos isn't a monster, he's the monster. No way they do a Monster Hunter without him so he hardly counts. He was just there to make sure we knew it was Monster Hunter. Like Iceborne, he flew over a map that he's most likely never actually going to go in gameplay. First we'll fight, is also likely correct. Well, the scarlet forest looks like it has around the same amount of water as that early build in the ancient forest for World where we saw lagi last so... Unless they only want one apex level thunder monster, in rey dao, why not? If he fit in World's old map concept, to the point of them using all that time to code him in the engine for that demo, he should appear in a similar map. Why'd you have to blue ball us, Capcom? Sad side note about the background footage of the actual IGN interview video, unless this is an early build that will change, rey dao's HH has the same song list as the hope horn apart from the echo wave being thunder instead of blunt. All other songs are the same as the beta horn.
I believe every monsters apart of elders for the top 20 will come to wilds , so zinogre , lagiacrus, brachydios , nargacuga, gore magala aand i believe that's it. Nergigante is also the only elder i could see come back that was in the top 20 along with shagaru ofc
one of the big things they said was that they wanted to focus on giving monsters that didnt get a chance in the last generation, lagiacrus is the only one in your list that wasnt in the last 2 games a part of the reason these monsters are the top popularity is that they were in the last generation, the population of MH players BOOMED with the release of world so of course theyre going to be high in popularity... but theyve had the spotlight, let some of the others shine, wheres kechawaka, qurupeco, gogmozios, nercylla, seltas queen, and zamtrios
@darkwraithjinx228 i totally agree butif the community and even developers love those Monsters they have to be in the biggest most anticipated game of Capcom at least i believe the top 20 and most fanfav/flagships must be in wilds
Like i said.Dalamadur is coming back its 100% sure.I mean look at the logo its a snake. This year is SNAKE year.Dalamadur is SNAKE.The game is more a sequel to 4 rather than world.Gogmazios returns too just look at the oil basin area he perfectly fits in.Now the only one remaining from my list is white fatalis and i think he will be in it as the game is sequel to world
@@memeboi3448 Dude its your problem if you don't want him to return i speak with things that i know and have learned till now from what we have seen.I don't mind if he is going to be added later on as part of the dlc
@eugeneng31 there are dozens of reasons why it wouldn't work in wilds. The main one being that the game is far more grounded then the last few games so if elders are in dlc why on earth would the mountain sized snake be the one returning and not a new elder or one of the weaker ones? Aint no way the game is going to be going from the final boss being most likely a flying wyvern to a creature large enough it can make the ground shake by moving.

Seriously ^^^^ capcom take notes
If I had a nickel for everytime I saw I video about Lagiacrus being in wilds...💀
Heyyy this time it's based on what they've been talking about 😉
If you know you know
Then you’d be swimmin’ in nickels…
@@arnoldpham5223 Swimming just like a damn Lagiacrus lmao
He is definitely back in wilds if you don’t care about spoils check rathalos watch video going over all story missions in the base game
Sorry for the voice, still abit ill, but still on the grind.
Hang in there man hope you get better soon! I was sick for like 2 weeks and everyone seems to be getting sick right now been crazy!
@ Thanks bro, I'll keep it up!
I really hope Gammoth comes back, she really deserves it.

Anyway, great video
Need to rename corkscrew though
Yea she does, the only of the Fatal 4 not to have returned in the 5th gen.
Thanks for the kind words LancerNobu!
19:59 spoiler here, they're adding CJ from Grove Street as the final boss, it was found in the beta files
From GROVE STREET?! Na I can't delete this, info is too useful, everyone needs to know about this
All you had to do is follow the damn train cj!!!

Imagine what they could do with monsters like Zamtrios, Namielle, and Uth Duna if we were allowed to fight them under the water.
Imagine if Pokemon had followed a similar approach to "returning pokemon" instead of a whole new pokedex each time
If they did that from the beginning I think people would accept it, but changing methods mid way is difficult for people to accept.
great insights
@sakarakit5835 once again I really appreciate the words 🙏🏾
Yes
18:10 Ivory Lagi though
Trueee, but at that point it's just lagi with irovy lagi's moveset once again :P making it even more difficult for irovy to come back.
@NovaBushido Ivory is due for a glow up, it would be a good time for them really give him something to differentiate Ivory from regular Lagi, and not butcher Ivory's moveset for regular Lagi again.
6:41 MAGNAMALO, GAMMOTH, MONOBLOS...
Gypcy ysed to be on my list, but now, *he's making a name for himself here*
DURAMBAROS! Everyone keeps forgetting Durambaros 😅
My boi Magna IS A KING, but I don't expect him in this game.
pls bring back my blue baby 💙
Piano astalos theme is sick. Literally just started the video like a second ago and just wanted to say that. By any chance are there piano versions of the other fated four that you have links to?
Bro it's peak. And no there isn't, but there is Seregios and Gore. They are Jazz Versions of their themes from Sunbreak
@NovaBushido sweet, I'm sure I can find a playlist then. I remember the world jazz album was also phenomenal. Thank you.

Legiana is a handsome monster for world same with odogaron
Odo was my favorite armor 😅
Truee Odogaron could be seen as one. Legiana abit less so for me XD
@@NovaBushido yea legiana isnt really the best example but in my opinion its a really cool design and i love the roar
