Regardless of this game not performing well commercially, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was practically a love letter to the series as a whole. Silly Arcade Battle endings and unbalanced gameplay aside, you really have to appreciate how the developers gave it 110 percent with the massive amount of attention they paid to detail, the abundance of offline single-player content, the special interactions between certain characters, and the new addition of decals, which took the customization to a whole other level.

Nah both Alisa and Lars has had more personality in their 2 games then the other mishimas so far who seems to be only have 1 emotion per game. They even roped my boy Jin into that mess. Atleast Lee is still safe from that curse since he is adopted.

The character interactions are so great man, it gave the game so much personality. I would legit be happy if they put this much detail in Tekken 8 and kept the gameplay borderline the same
Among all the games, Tekken has one the GREATEST ROSTER BUILD of all time. Every character has their own remarkable thing based on their personalities.
Tekken Tag 2 may not be the best Tekken in the series but its a fitting tribute to the series itself. The devs bend over backwards to add every subtle details from character interactions to stage designs and easter eggs to adding new life in character customization. Besides the unbalanced gameplay and silly endings, Tekken Tag 2 is a blast to play.
1:17 love how the game captures their personality, kazuya has a more cocky , laid back stance while jin stays up straight, kinda giving off the "fuck off" vibe
This game had so much soul and heart and plenty of customization options. Even the victory screens were something well thought. Hope we get the same amount of detail in a possible future title.
The last "YOU WIN" vid introduced me to the Battle Cry OST, which I fell in love with (I hadn't recognized it since Tag2 was so long ago) This one featured Your Sunset, which is probably my favorite OST in the entire game.
I always feel like that this game is like a true finale for the Tekken franchise as a whole. All of the characters from the previous games are playable, DLC songs for older Tekken games, unique animations for specific tag partners, etc. It's just feels like Tag Tournament 2 was a legit love letter for the fans of the franchise. Shame that the online is no more, but I still have loads of fun playing Tekken Tag 2 offline on my PS3. Tekken 5 is my personal favourite Tekken game but Tag Tournament 2 comes in second on that list.
