Finally my girl Jisoo got her solo!!! Honestly through the first watch I was the same and could only use interjections like "wow" and "damn" 😂. This whole video with the varying amount of different outfits and locations almost felt to me like a lookbook of sorts, showing off her visual prowess and she killed it 💯(props to the stylists and videography team as well for their work on this)!!! I also agree with how the solo's fit more to their personal vibe in comparison to their group as a whole, which in my opinion is great as we get to see the more mainstream girl crush vibe and in this case a sophisticated and classy actresses, artist, fashion icon, etc. (my bias isn't showing I swear 😂) Also speaking on fashion, I know you mentioned not lookin at teasers and content for this release but holy moly, the looks in the concept films and the photobooks are to die for 💀🔥!!! -- As an aside, the b-side track 'All Eyes On Me' was a vibe too.
-- All in all I'm proud of Jisoo for where shes gotten to today, following BP since debut seeing her as the underdog for so long and to see her now killing it with her solo breaking pre-order records to starring in dramas, and even being the tops of fashion influence for Dior.. she's come a long way 😭!!!!

I love the chic vibe and always a sucker for a m/v's shot on film. I believe Jisoo did some prerecorded live stages for a music shows since BP is still on tour. She is also going to be on Lee Young-Ji TH-cam show.

Not a party bop kind of song, but will capture your eyes and you will be mesmerized all throughout the vid. Subtle, but elegant. Just like Jisoo.

I love blackpink so much and I personally love both songs, it’s a shame she won’t be performing all eyes on me at coachella, it’s literally a festival song. Btw they filmed in LA and universal studios

Controversial statement: I have a fairly strong
notion that the subtext of the video is that rather
than it being an ordinary love story, Jisoo is playing a sex worker, a 'flower girl.' In past centuries in China, Japan and Korea, the title 'sing-song girl' (Chinese:), or 'flower girl,' was a slang term for a courtesan. The yellow building which Jisoo stands outside of, looking in at a set of pearls, was painted that colour specifically for this MV shoot. It strongly suggests the 1996 Korean film 'Yellow House,' which is about a sex worker who struggles with her identity when she is forced to leave the Yellow House brothel of the title. Jisoo is playing the role of someone who is deeply conflicted by her profession, with all the waiting around in hotel rooms and lobbies, avoiding eye contact with maids and elevator operators, plus all the inevitable heartbreak and loneliness. At the same time she is still attracted to the money she makes and the sense of power it brings, as this may be her only alternative to poverty. The tearing off of the choker at the end is a signal of the character taking charge of her independence. She is no one's pet or possession.
PS: This is a description of a role
that actress Jisoo is playing. It is not actually a
description of our wonderful Jisoo Turtle Rabbit Kim, the brilliant and talented actor and singer from Blackpink.

I was curious about what you would make of this.
Unfortunately I don't think it'll look anywhere near as good on a music show as the whole thing was actually shot on film giving it that rich colour saturation.
The exterior shots were done at Universal studios and the interior shots at the very beautiful Biltmore hotel also in LA.
Apparently it's YG's most expensive video ever. it certainly looks amazing and definitely suits Jisoo's more sophisticated aesthetic.
