@@TechWizPrince Apple too started with the Zoom lens but reviewers sadly thrashed pixel for it but I digress. And now, the improvement in the UW lens is almost non-existent.
Yeah totally forgot about Apple. Haha. Telephoto lens is much more helpful in day to day captures. UW can be helpful in gathering more data and for Apple in Spatial video!
Yeah. Honestly the two tone design is really cool. The black side railing and the white frosted back. It’s such a nice finish. Pixel 8 Pro with its frosted finish comes really comes. I like the visor tbh. Lol
@@joebeckphaeacian3150 Im from Vietnam and I can say a lot of pixel fan in Vietnam still prefer to use this phone. It's have an aesthetic design, good camera, 3K screen and very good price at this time. It's a must to start trying pixel phone
zoom is good if it is done right should have given atleast 3x zoom with colors same as main lens. there is big color shift when shifting btwn lens also ultra wide lens should have been added. it was a flagship phone at the time so having 3 lens was not a noval thing coz , iphone 11 pro and s10 plus all had 3 lens. and they had one more thing bigger battery so pixel 4 should have come with atleast 3200mah.
Oh yeah. Totally forgot about the small battery of the smaller Pixel 4. Damn. Could have been another reason. I used the Pixel 4 XL, so the smaller battery of the Pixel 4 totally skipped my mind! And the lack of ultra-wide was a big issue back then!
I don't know anything about being "ahead of its time", but my most long lasting and strongest impression of it, is being the first phone to introduce something useless - in a big way.
Haha yeah. I did like the Pixel 2 XL. I think it was the best Pixel until Pixel 6 Pro came out. Pixel 4 ahead of its time is a catchy title. So used it! Haha
Using 4 XL for the last 2 years and it's still running smoothly.
Yeah it still runs smoothly for a 4 year old android phone! I loved using it too
Now, top flagships are fighting for zoom. Even back then, I appreciated the zoom lens way more considering UW-lens were almost crap back then.
Wish I had the same mentality back then. I thought ultra-wide was better. Turns out I never use it on any of the newer phones!

Pixel 4XL is the most beautiful device ever made by Google. I dont know why they dont reuse this design. I dont like the visor from pixel 6 tbh

Agree
That's true both pixel 4 & 4xl designs are the best ❤

The squeeze feature was very useful. I loved it on my HTC U11 plus back then!
Yeah remapping it on the Pixel would have been soo nice.

I agree with all your points. The phone was good but was crippled by Google
Pixel 4 failed for two reasons , small battery capacity and no ultra wide camera

Haha yeah true. The execution was flawed in every way! Sucked!
Am still uaing this goat device, imagine all the tect community hated this phone because it lacks ultra wide cam.
Yeah. I loved using the phone too. I think tech reviews were too harsh when the phone released. So many things about the Pixel 4 were cool.
i have switched from pixel 4 to iphone 15 pro but i still miss my pixel 4
Yeah I don’t use the Pixel 4 anymore but it was a fun device to use. Pixels r like that!
does the rom support gpay, face id?
Yes it does
Is it worth buying for £118 pounds brand new now ?
Yeah I think it’s still a decent phone at that price.
1:38 poke my nose 💀
Lol. Yeah. I know of so many people who do it. Even MKBHD mentioned it in a video of his!
@CrisCheese_ haha I know. Lol. I didn’t think about it too much. Plus not a native speaker. So, I get a pass. Haha
Ahead of its time..? 😆 pixels were abomination until pixel 6.
