The lower falls is always amazing even with lower water flow. Just 2.5 miles back Chilnualna Falls road in Wawona then .5 mile hike up the trail. It's a great quick hit waterfall in-between all the big stuff. 😀
THANK YOU for the fantastic video of a memorable hike AND the great tips for getting past the rattlesnake to the falls. So much fun to meet you just after watching your excellent Nevada Falls video. Laura and Francois, Vernon BC🎉
That was a beautiful trek! I thought for a second you almost fell off the trail, then was even more scared when I saw that rattlesnake 😮 You did say you were hoping to see snakes 😅
jsut got back from my visit and I probably saw the same rattlesnake in that same section. He slithered into the rocks but was getting cozy on the trails.
Awesome video as always. I'm so pleased you're getting the views, close to 3,000 on the last one. Did you ever imagine ? and you met a viewer as well. You've got to be proud. The scenery is epic and your presentation is relaxed and very friendly. That snake encounter looked frightening but you explained it perfectly. Sorry there was no cooking demo, maybe next time, The beard growth makes you look younger, very stylish. So happy that you share these adventures. Thanks
Yes!! It's exciting to see my subscriber count start to go up. Hopefully I can blow up and we can say it all started with your encouragement from my first videos. Appreciate you. :)
Be careful up there my friend from high school is currently missing on the chilnualna falls trail since July 2nd so only two days. It’s believed he slipped into the water at the upper falls portion of the hike. I might be going tomorrow to search for him with my friend. His name is Hayden
Oh man. That's terrible. I will say keep him in my prayers today. Hopefully, he just lost the trail and can be found. Search and rescue does an amazing job. The rivers are no joke this year.
@@theyosemiteguyd absolutely, very slippery sloped granite edging the river. Keeping our hopes up. It’s believed he went off trail at the upper falls trail junction and towards the swimming holes
@Nat Lovell oh heck yeah!! So much water right now. Don't forget the sun screen. Sun was pretty intense yesterday. And watch out for the rattlesnakes. They seemed to be everywhere near the top. Have fun!! 😀
@@theyosemiteguyd I’ve done this hike 4-5 times. Never seen any snakes but I’ll def keep an eye and ear out. I live in Fresno so it’s a close trip for me. Love that area as it’s one of the least visited places in the park. Im thinking of doing buena vista lake later this summer once the snowpack has gone down a bit
Thank You The Memory. Hiked it starting in the mid 50’s Last time late 80’s with my wife

I thought your mom told you not to mess with snakes 😂
She told me about spiders... she never said anything about snakes 😂😂
