Since you made Seth‘s video about warp entities that aren’t aligned with chaos. I’d like to propose a video idea of my own. About what remains of and references to ‘our’ era and earlier things from earth in the time of 40K. That’s something I’ve been interested in for a long time.
PS: Majorkill please tell me if you see this comment. So I know the idea is in your head.

In the Lord of the Red Sands its said that the last of the loyalists from the World Eaters charged their primarch. It was also the only time Angron felt any respect for his sons. So, Angron went down to finish them off himself, and the loyalists charged their own primarch and traitor brethren.
Because they're World Eaters, that's what they do.

      All but one, Shabran Darr.
Shabran Darr was a loyal World Eater Captain who showed the galaxy just how terrifying intelligent World Eaters can be. He and about twenty or so World Eaters slipped away from Erlhen's last stand and waged a guerilla war until the end of the Atrocity.
His highlights was finding a weakspot in Saul Tarvitz's defenses and leading traitors to attack it before he and his men turned on them.
He was more Night Lord than World Eater...and one of the reasons I believe the Carcharodons Astra are World Eater Loyalists.

Papa Smurf kind of collected them and in old lore, the 2nd Founding disguised a lot of loyalist from traitor legionnaires as 'Ultramarine' successor chapter. For example, Minotars were suggested as World Eater Blackshieds being gathered together as an whole chapter under the control of the High Lords. It's a nice rabbit hole to go down and made me collect old space marine codexes to find possible loyalists. Scythes of the Emperor, Iron Skulls, Death Eagles come to mind. I believe Red Scorpions were also hinted.

His space wolf counterpart on that escapade treated him like absolute dog shit and they even had mhotep locked up like a prisoner. Dude Def deserves some major credit for the saving of macragge.
I think he is kind of the example of what would have happened with the thousand sons had Prospero not burned and if they had not seen all they saw when that happened. According to the novel The First Heretic, the genetic flaw that affected Lorgar and his Legion both was one of excessive loyalty in their respective sires, possibly through an over-activation of the process that causes an Astartes to innately be loyal to their primarch, and primarch to their emperor.
This partially (but not even remotely entirely) accounts for not only the few loyalist Word Bearers, but indeed the entire Heresy itself, through Lorgar’s fanatical devotion to his fathers both adopted and otherwise.

There was one other loyalist thousand son in Ashes of Prospero. He was a librarian of the Raptorian(I believe) and had been trapped in some kind of warp maze when he was killed along with the lost space wolf 13th company that attacked prospero during the HH. His spirit however lived on and first chance it got, escaped the maze and got stuck inside Njal Stormcallers head. After a lot of stuff happening and arriving back on prospero the rest of the thousand sons attack and the loyalist sorcerer see’s what his legion, even his Primarch, had become in 10,000 years and actively helped the space wolves to secure a victory, even finding the lost 13th company of the heresy. (He and Njal also formed a sort of respect for each other along the way. I know surprising)

Another interesting thing about the Word Bearers: a chunk of the legion hated what they had become, but saw it as a necessity. They felt they had to serve a deity. If the Emp had handled Monarchia differently, maybe a more sizeable amount of the legion would have stayed loyal to Him, still believing he was an infallible god.

That Word Bearer known as the Anchorite, the one who willingly surrendered to the Ultramarines and submitted to longterm imprisonment, including fighting off his traitor Legion members when they came to break him out millenia later, is an example of loyalty and devotion above and beyond. It's a shame that someone so dedicated is so self hating. His Primarch and his Legion may have sold their lives and souls to the Ruinous Powers. But that doesn't mean that he's a traitor. Nor a lost cause. And while the Emperor is VERY against the idea of being a god, and religion in general, this Word Bearer deserves a better existence. If the Eclessiarchy weren't so batsh¡t crazy in their blanket hatred for ALL members of the traitor Legions, the Anchorite would be PERFECT for their ranks. Both for his faith, and for his example of how even the most lost and damned Chaos forces had members who stayed loyal to the Emperor, the Imperium, and humanity.
