    Nice! I was about to give up no input mixing as too unpredictable to be useful for live use but I can see a little more discipline is required. Will head back to it after breakfast!

    Wow! Especially loving the rhythmic stuff in the second part. Scratches my brain just right lol

    Very nice. Sometimes I find my mixer gives off frequencies way too high pitch for my liking. I enjoy the lower rumbling type tones. I guess every mixer reacts differently.

      Same. I cut all the eqs fully counter-clockwise and by turning up the low eq you get the low bassy percussive sounds.

      So true every mixing has its own annoying/unique noises

    sophisticated noise, especially the 3. part!

    This is very nice sounding.
    Looks like you are running two basic feedback loops from the outputs into separate input channels; and then running the pedals via the fx send and rtn into a stereo line input.
    Nice basic straightforward setup resulting in beautiful soundscapes.

    I've got an old Behri that I've been thinking about tinkering with like this... So, I've watched a bunch of YT stuff as part of the research, but this videos first piece was some hardline inspiration! Good stuff, that.

    Lovely performances. One of the best/most music uses of NIM I’ve seen on TH-cam.
    I’m curious about the routing, not familiar with this micro-mixer and can’t make out the labeling on the mixer panel. I’ve been reading your other responses to similar questions so I don’t ask the same questions..
    Where is the looper being fed from? It returns to the mixer on one of the input channels, I take it?
    What’s the DDL routing?
    Thanks

    great sounding! may i ask what is the last output(pedal on left ) connected to?

    • @ideologikal
      @ideologikal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks! it's reverb pedal : TCE T2

  • @BennSutcliffe
    @BennSutcliffe ปีที่แล้ว

    What are you using as your main output? Is the signal from the mixer going through the pedals before being recorded? Or are the pedals part of an fx send/return?

    • @ideologikal
      @ideologikal  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      mixer - delay pedal (feedback loop) as sound source, to looper, and reverb pedal as final output

  • @maneasd4600
    @maneasd4600 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you necessarily even need pedals for no input mixing? Really interested in sound design

    • @ideologikal
      @ideologikal  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on specific sounds what you want to create

  • @g1tfinger
    @g1tfinger 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Very nice! Curious as to the signal path - What’s plugged into what? is the mixer plugged into itself to create some sort of feedback loop? 👏👏

    • @ideologikal
      @ideologikal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Thanks! generates sound by connecting the output of a mixer into one of its inputs, resulting in a feedback loop which can be played and controlled using the mixer’s knobs, EQ, built in compressor, and routing options.

    Fantastic set ! There's still something I don't get: the looper. How do you use it and why ? Just starting with no input mixing and exploring different possibilities.

    Little question, if the output from the mixing board is occupied how do you record your stuff ?
    Great mixing

    • @ideologikal
      @ideologikal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The output for I recorded it by headphone channel, because the main out for feedback loops to input channels.
