I've done quite a few of these. You don't have to remove the glass. Next time, remove the door panel, shove the window all the way up until it seats as it does when closed, use painters tape, run three strips from the glass over the top of the door and back to the glass again. While the tape is holding the glass, take a measurement from the bottom of the door to the bottom of the glass, cut a strip of wood with a V in it to cradle the glass wedge it snugly to the bottom of the door to hold the glass in position until you get the new part. No cardboard or tape needed. Once the part comes in, tape the glass again to hold it, remove the wood, put the register in, loosen the glass clamps, remove the tape, slip the glass down and tighten. You're done. No need to remove trim or outside molding. Nor do you have to worry about handling or storing the glass with chance of breaking it. Love the boat repair you do, totally schooled me up on "glassing". Keep up the great work; good luck and God bless.

I opted to bypass the duct tape and cardboard and cut a 2”x2” board and zip tied to the regulator to hold window up until my new regulator arrives. Luckily my 05 GMC is not my daily driver. You made this look pretty easy. Appreciate the time you took to share the knowledge.
thanks for show this I have a 99 Chevy z71 and my Passanger window regulator and motor went out and I was sacred to do it because it had to do with my glass but seeing how it easy now because of you I did it and now window goes up and down like a champ! hope to see you post more love you videos!

You'll be extremely happy you put the 6" lift on your truck when you replace your front axle shafts/CV Axles. You can replace them without removing the tire. Of course, that might not be as camera friendly. Either way, thank you for the video. Love the Duramax vids.

Sorry to change the subject, but I'm sick to my stomach. MY HUGE SCREW UP!! Bought a 17ft I/o wellcraft with an Alpha one drive. Everything was fine took it out last year, had a blast. This year I went to get the boat out of storage and the deck was so soft in one spot your foot could fall through. Now I just found the motor mounts are bad! Bolts wont get tight! I'm NO FriscoBoater.....I'm screwed.... You did a beautiful job on your sea ray. I'm at a loss.

I decided that my son and I are just going to patch as much as possible so we can try and get through the summer. Then possibly pay my boat guy to do it. He said it's gonna cost as much as I paid for the boat! But its so mechanically sound I hate to just sell it for parts.
I bought a new window regulator assembly for my passenger rear window along with a new switch and it’s not working from the switch or the driver switch. How do I test the wire coming to the passenger rear window?
Hey man I'm stuck right now I just rebuilt the top end of my Polaris alto 1050 because my middle cylinder was running about ninety on the compression tester so I went ahead and did all new rings and gaskets didn't mess with the bottom end at all so I ran a compression test on it again before I put the motor back in just like you did in your video and now the front and middle cylinder is about 90 and the back is about 82 or so any ideas
Next time you can cut a piece of 2x2 to hold your window up until your regulator gets in instead of taping everything up. Works good. That's what I did.
FriscoBoater hey I've looked back threw your vids and I can't find one on the cab isolation mounts you mentioned in the bilsteeen 5100 vid do you recall the name brand of them I'm looking into getting the shackles but would like to do the cab isolation mounts as well because well my wife hates riding in my truck thanks

I just did mine in an hour without removing the glass or handle. Quite easy.
