In the Petroleum Refining World, the fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) is one of the most important and critical units in the refineries. It converts heavy hydrocarbon feedstocks into lighter, more valuable products through thermal cracking and catalytic reactions.
It operates by fluidizing (hence the name) a mixture of feedstock and catalyst, exposing the molecules to high temperatures and the catalyst's active sites.
This process breaks down long hydrocarbon chains intro:
gasoline, diesel, LPG, and other valuable products.
One of the most important parts: the regeneration of the catalyst: The cracked products are separated from the spent catalyst, which is then regenerated through combustion.
The FCC plays a key role in maximizing the production of transportation fuels and meeting the market's demand for cleaner, higher-quality petroleum products.

This course really sounds amazing Emmanuel! Great work ð ð
thanks a lot my friend! Im glad you enjoyed it!
Hey good evening from Colombia. For my is really amazing that you share with us your experience in the reaction engineering. Thanks
for sure my friend! always my pleasure!
Hello, I love your channel. Could you lecture on the NanoOne Onepot process?
Im not quite familiar with that company/process... could you feed me in, send me an email at contact@chemicalengineeringguy.com
Hii sir,I am Praveen from india.I want to do a masters in the US.what is the situation for fresher placement in us?
Hi, depends strongly on your academic + financial status, if you land a scholarship or finance your studies, and magange to get accepted to a masters, that will be goog enough, all visa stuff will be fixed by your uni
I am not asking how to get a visa.
I am asking for Campus placements and freshers recruitment in the Chemical branch?
For example i completed my masters in the US from universities like Houston. Will recruiters ask for experience in the present situation(Recession)?
If yes,I will do one year job in my country and do masters?
