In terms of a review, this is one of the most in depth I have seen on any product. Your passion and level of detail speak volumes of your integrity and with that in mind, I would certainly consider one. Great stuff 😊
Thanks for that my friend I appreciate your kind works , I enjoyed doing it even though it's cost us subscribers . You can't please everyone all of the time though. Best wishes H and M
Just too mine out first time yesterday. Getting used to it. The focus ring seems quite sensitive. Your advice to use high shutter speed I can now see as sensible! Focus peaking important & im using pro camera app but wonder what app you use. I’m understanding the procedure is 1. set a high shutter speed ( esp if hand held) 2. Turn focus ring & use focus peaking to get approx focus. 3. Then use the app ( eg pro camera) to fine tune focus. As you gather from this focusing is the main issue I have so far & had a mixed bag of results & want to get something like those you had using yours. Keep up the good work Martin 😊
Hi Carl, I use the ProCamera app to , suggest you rack the shutter-speed up as far as possible , also if you click on the options button (bottom right in the app) , there is a second shutter option if you haven't found it already. I set it to anti shake for hand held which helps and self timer on the tripod. I focus in the app first that switch to manual focus and fine tune using focus peaking. Hope that helps good luck with it . Martin
Just purchased mine after watching your video. What mini tripod do you use as like you I’m looking for all things small & portable. Looking forward to more videos of you using this for photography 😊
Hi Carl hope you enjoy the kit, I’m in the market for a new iPhone tripod myself , mine is on its legs . I’m thinking that I might invest in a SANDMARC Tripod- three options here - www.sandmarc.com/products/iphone-tripod . I’m convinced of the need for one with the telephoto lens. I’m not a SANDMARC promoter and will buy my own tripod but I was impressed with the product . Thanks for watching H and M
I haven’t read all the comments to see if this mistake has been addressed, but at the beginning you describe it as having an optical zoom. It a focus wheel, not a zoom.
I must say I'm quite surprised at the quality! Definitely worth having in the bag when not carrying a bigger DSLR around. Considering how well images can be cleaned up now in the likes of Topaz, this looks like quite the nifty gadget. Quick question; do you need to use their case to attach the lens? I'm using a quadlock case at the moment so swapping would be a bit of a faf. Cheers Martin!
Hi - Yes you do need their case , I know what you mean though I also use the Quadlock case for biking so completely understand. However the thread is on the case itself though , thanks for watching. Helen and Martin
Difficult question to answer , it's in essence a teleconverter for thr iphone rather than a telephoto lens so it's difficult to compare directly to a full frame camera.
Thanks very much, we’re not intending doing many product reviews but this one did interest me I have to say and the opportunity to use it on a tour was attractive.
Hi, I couldnt recommend it for that, because of the weight it takes a moment to settle yourself before shooting , i think given the speed of football generally you might get some blurry images. Hope that’s helpful.
Hi I'm using Procamera App - better in Manual so you can rack up the shutters speed , also it has a secondary shutter option that you can set to Ant--shake. I use Blackmagic Cam for Video. Hope that helps.
Great review Martin and I enjoyed the pictures. I use my iPhone more and more for photos now and rarely take the digital camera. Good to know this product exists. If you ever decide to do another review, I think you’re rather good at them!
That’s fascinating Martin. I’ve just purchased an iPhone 15 plus not pro (should have gone for the pro), but I have a dslr and a mirrorless with some big zoom. However, that’s a heck of lot to lug around 🤦🏻♂️, so this lens is quite appealing for days out and about. Very good quality at x6 - impressive, especially the video 👍👍. Thanks for sharing this one. 👍
Thanks very much, I’ll probably miss the lenses at some point but I’m not sorry i’ve made the switch for the interests I have . Thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin
I found a problem while shooting VDO with Sandmarc 6X lens. When shooting VDO of an object and then suddenly someone walk passing by, the phone caamera will temporary blur. It's not focus on both the object and the people that walk passing by too but after they left from the scene then it back to focus again.
Haven't got an iPhone myself but will be keeping an eye out if they start producing one for other makes . Interesting
I’m sure it will come Dave , thanks for watching . Helen and Martin

I think the zoom is fixed, the toggle is to focus the image.
I think that’s a really useful piece of equipment for an iPhone. Just gives you that extra distance and perfect for social media use. 😀

What’s the focal lengths of this lens equate to on per say, a full frame camera
Difficult question to answer , it's in essence a teleconverter for thr iphone rather than a telephoto lens so it's difficult to compare directly to a full frame camera.
Looks like a decent bit of kit. Thanks for reviewing. Irvine & Karen.
It’s been an interesting process getting used it. Thanks for watching H and M

Same phone model here, do you think this can be a good option for football matches?
Thanks for the review

Hi Phil , apologies you tell I don't push products on our channel can't you. This is the link www.sandmarc.com/pages/telephoto-6x-lens . Cheers Martin

Interesting , I suspose more people using it will bring out the development areas going forward. Thanks for watching.
