How to JDM Taillight Conversion 300ZX

- A full walk through guide of how to convert stock 300zx taillights into the cleaner looking "jdm" style. I show you how with about $40 and some elbow grease you can make your taillights look just like the $500+ jdm taillights.
I know there are many guides on how to do this conversion but none that walk you through the actually taunting process. So I hope this video gives you the information you need that others lack.

The only other tidbit I could recommend would be to spray paint the plastic black insert with chrome like the jdm ones but besides that excellent!

Yo you should sell those precut spaced pinstripes! I want to do this conversion soon and having them like a sticker looks way easier than by hand. I would buy them and you could mail them in envelopes easy

to make this look one step closer to the original jdm tails paint or wrap the inside grey housing with color chrome, the 99 spec or jdm tail lights have chrome housings .

ive already got jdm tails :P on my jdm 300zx haha but I did split the centre panel on the rear so I could illuminate the 300zx logo!

ugh man I hate that butyl rubber that seals in the taillights sooooo much. I feel your pain man
I was afraid of the pin stripes coming off so I masked everything but the lines and sprayed them black. Took longer but I know they will never slide off in temperatures extremes like a cool carwash after a hot summers day. The inside bezel is chromed in jdm version. I wished I had the resources to have that chromed but I sprayed it chrome instead. I wanted to vinyl wrap it in chrome but again I was afraid it would unravel inside the housing after I was done. Just a thought if you ever do another set.
