As someone whose 2 favorites are Gahyeon and Dami, it took me 3-4 listen to the teaser to make sure that it's Gahyeon, their raps are getting more and more compatible with one another!
No More is what i hoped Endless Night would sound like and im so extremely happy and any song where Gahyeon utilises her lower register is a masterpiece. i mean her line in the last chorus? i had that on repeat an embarrassing many times (plus the gahyeon + dami rap) oh and the reason their jpn songs go harder is because rock is mainstream in japan. even kpop groups who usually dont do rock influenced music, will do rock influenced songs in japan. In general jpop is full of rock and metal influenced music
I think Dreamcatcher go for more all-out metal in their Japanese releases because they _can._ Rock and metal are far more popular in Japan, whereas in Korea, it's much more underground, so to get a foothold there, DC had to be a bit more experimental while not straying _too_ far from their pop sensibilities.
The line after Gahyeon's opening was sung by SuA, and the first two lines of the second verse rap are by Gahyeon. My gripe with this song was that their voices were undermixed and overprocessed, making it hard to identify them :/
SO FREAKIN GOOD. As someone who listens also to metal music, I'm always speechless (pun intended) when those Japanese singles come out. I was already mentally headbanging so hard with Endless night...So.. I guess I'm just going to loose my neck with this one. STAN DREAMCATCHER LOSERS.
@@Brickerbrack Korea haven't been ready for DC in general at all and the industry are srewing them over. So Korea can stick it to be honest. So I want them to either promote more in japan or continue with korean comebacks but in this direction.
@@Black3ight I dunno; I agree that the industry itself has screwed them at every turn, but Korea definitely seems to be warming to them - they've been _everywhere_ on the Boca promo circuit. I'm definitely up for them being more international, though - I'm itching for their next European tour already... 😜
@@Brickerbrack it's great that korea is opening more for them, but i don't like if DC has to water down their songs for korea to accept them. I much rather them having top notch music than more basic music. Not saying Boca and Scream were more basic, but those where deff more palpable for the korean market. continuing the energy they started with, ''they are not coming to you, you are coming to them' type of energy. This is why i want them to atleast move more in the direction of their japaneese singles, cause it feels more like their forte, more like them you know ;)
As a metal head, this song rocks. Honestly, the rock aspect is what got me into DC in the first place. They never disappoint on the Japanese releases. The instrumental on this track though... AND THAT GUITAR SOLO! I want to see a live stage of this so bad!
3:28 Because the Japanese love Heavy Metal, Power metal, loud and powerful sounds. Metal in general. And I think producers give themselves that license that in Korea they couldn't. And Siyeon happy.
I love the instrumental, took me to heaven, vocals style combined with it actually reminded me of song I loved many years ago. It was folk/ethnic metal actually. Metal instrumental + soft ethnic vocals with fantasy theme. It has similiar feel to me. Basically this was like trip down memory lane to my junior highschool days, so like 20 years AAAAH. I'm so excited and happy. With time I moved more to rock, jazz and discovering ethnic music from different countries but my heart is always with rock and heavy sounds. The new song experience as Insomnia is first time for me too. Seriously this slapped so hard, I love it. Very curious how their Korean comeback will be like as third part of Dystopia series. I saw some info that it would be utopia? If that's the case then I'd expect a bit fairytale-ish verses and darker chorus if the utopia turns to nightmare in the song. Can't wait.
I love love love haunting vocal melodies. That’s what got me hooked to Dreamcatcher with You and I and what solidified this as my favorite Dreamcatcher title track.
Might be my favorite Japanese track once this is all said and done as well. I was also wondering why it was nearly 5 minutes, and there they were! So proud of them, and this just makes me even more excited for their Korean comeback.
It's actually super surprising how few lines Siyeon has. I'm not complaining since we're always begging for the other girls to get more lines. I just never would have expected it. I think she gets more of the background vocals and might be harmonizing or layering over some of the other girls' lines. In any case, I love the heavy sound. If they continue to give us this pure metal sound in their Japanese singles then it gives them more freedom to experiment with other genres in their regular releases. Can't wait to hear them perform this live ^_^
this is the heavy and evil-sounding dc we know and love, though I must say their next greatest hit will be the marrying of the heaviness and riffs(JP) and the melodic sensibilities(Kor)
i don't know if you've done this yet but you should react to "and there was no one left" it's a special clip by dreamcatcher and it showcases all the members vocals!
I really like it especially Dami rap part !!! And the guitar solo going insaneee but i dont know Endless night is still no1 for me among their Japanese song 🥴

Dreamcatcher really go hard on their japanese tracks. Sorry, so out of context, but u should react to BTOB. They are the real vocal kings of kpop, there's a subunit that was released this week. They are BTOB4U, their song is called "Show your love". It really sounds so good. And react to other Btob songs like Missing you, beautiful pain and others. 🙂

Dreamcatcher and DAY6 fits so well with anime vibes!!! ps: can you react next to GOT7? "You Calling My Name" and "Aura - at Dingo Music youtube channel, it's a choreography video, they are blindfolded at first!"
I love Dreamcatcher, they are my favourite group and I've always loved rock/metal music, so this is perfect to me! I hope they will go even harder in the future with the japanese releases. The reason why their japanese songs are harder is because Jrock is huge in Japan, so it's easier for them to release rock/metal music there. It would be interesting if you would react to Unnies "Right?" and if it is possibile this: th-cam.com/video/mVW4aAn8VPw/w-d-xo.html It's from a variety show aired a few years ago called Sister's Slam Dunk (this is the season 2), where the cast members formed a girl group named "Unnies", but not all of them were singers/idols. The seven members were Minzy (2NE1 main dancer), Somi (ex I.O.I member and now soloist), Jinyoung (trot singer), Yewon (an actress who studied opera singing, but after she had vocal cord nodules she stopped singing), Chaeyoung (model and actress), Kim Sook (comedian) and Hong Jin-kyung (entrepreneur and comedian). They were trained like idols both in singing and dancing and their vocal trainer was from SM (that is renowned to have the idols with the best vocals). It would be interesting to know your opinions about their first meeting with the vocal trainer and his analyses about their vocals.
okay so i've got a question since you know more about music than me. did you think the vocals could be like... louder? because i really love the song, more than endless night, but i had the feeling of wanting to turn up the volume a bit on just the vocals. had the same feeling about my way, which is also a japanese release so i just wonder if since it's different producers for those releases and all that maybe it's that?
