Of course, the ship had two big refits. This is more recent radar installed in the 50s. Before the ship had radar during WW2, they had supermarine Walrus planes to look out for enemies near. The planes were catapulted off the decks. When radar came, the planes became obsolete.

Is that really how the ship's radar looked in WWII? it seems at least modernized a bit.
Belfast was decommissioned in 1963. From a quick skim of Wikipedia, the latest modernization of the radar was in 1959.

The radar array was probably modernized but I think the display is the same.
