Q• Why are you uploading cruising videos and renovation videos at the same time.
A• As of October 2021 we have finished our journey to visit every waterway on the connected system but we still have a back lock of videos to edit. For this reason we are uploading a cruising video each week till we finish the journey. In November 2021 we started a project to renovate our Narrowboat and as there was a lot of interest in is filming this we decided to alternate the renovations with the old cruising videos. We also aim to get one renovation video up each week until the cruising videos are finished.
Q• Why do you speed up some of the footage in your videos?
A• We don't, we film it as time-lapse footage. We do not have the battery capacity or data storage to film in real time as our cruises can last up to 7 or 8 hours. We use to the time-lapse footage to help tell the story of movement rather than showcase the scenery. We limit the amount of time-lapse shots we use in each vlog.
Q• Why are your video's so behind?
A• We would love to release all our video's in the same week that we film them but that isn't possible for us. Jo only really has the capacity to edit two video's per week and as we make a video for each cruise that we do and we some times cruise 3 or 4 or 5 times a week we inevitably get behind. We fit in the vlogs around our lives not the other way round.
Maps with Geoge's fooprint can sell for more as they are 'autographed'. Somebody should do a video DOGS OF The Canals.
Definitely a great calendar idea!
It’s nice to know Michael and my inner nerd align when the first thing I thought seeing the “beacon” was, “Ah, we can use that to call the riders in time of need”.

Hi Jo , Michael and George, nice to see three of you again. I haven't been checking out alot vlogs since my husband died in October 2021. He loved his narrowboat channels . I feel I'm able to start watching them again. You both look well and George has grown so much. Michael how did you loose so much weight? Looking good. Sorry for that loss, but glad you’re back to watching narrowboats puttering about once more. I lost the weight the old fashioned way… I’ve been very hungry for about two years now. Might make a video explaining sometime soon. M

WOW Michael!!! Where did the rest of you disappear to?? My guess is that you have dropped at least 100 pounds and in not that long a time. I hope this is a very healthy story and not a tale of deep whoa and intrigue and misery..... It may be time to do a special video on just why and how you have done this. AMAZING. We love the three of you--not just narrowboating. I am proud of you, and I CRAVE your secret to success.

Having lock keepers on Watford is such a blessing to those who single-hand, especially for the staircase which is just about do-able when on ones own.....

By the way, re: George and the stinging nettles. I'm not sure that stinging nettles affect dogs like they affect humans. They certainly don't seem to bother our two dogs.
All that fur they’ve got does an excellent job keeping the nettles from stinging… hence why I wish I was a wee bit hairier around the gams. M

Well we planned to come but realised its a five hour minimum roundtrip from South of London, M25 ,M1, Bank holiday! Sadly its a no no. In younger days it was doable. Hope you do really well those maps and puzzles look fantastic. Happy Selling.

A friend of mine is one of the voluntary lock-keepers at Watford. We went down Watford last autumn -- it's a bit tricky coming out of the lower staircase lock and a sharpish turn is required to get into the bottom lock.
It was pleasant to briefly visit your stall at Crick today,and to meet George.What luck everyone had with the weather.

I was there today - you must be exhausted ? Sooo busy . Was looking for a boat and ended up calling in at Wilton marina . They are so friendly and laid back there . Cafe also good 👍 Hope you are a sell out .

It has been really nice 'virtually' travelling with you to Crick Unfortunately I am stuck in Portsmouth which is a long walk from Crick but hope you have a great show and sell everything, Good position by the door everyone has to go past your stand.
